Once Per Toon Pets?

Ok, so after a recent discussion regarding my horrid luck on the Magical Crawdad I started noticing some other strange drop behavior. The baby crocs from the "Crocolisks In The City" quest dropped in an odd fashion for me. It was literally one right after another, with no duplicates. So that left me wondering:

Are the baby crocs a "one time drop per toon"?

And if so, is it also possible that the Magical Crawdad is also a "one time drop per toon"?

Does anybody have some hard evidence on these? What have you guys seen, experienced?

It's been a good while since I got my own baby crocs, but I do remember getting the same ones multiple times before I had all four - of course, a lot has changed since then anyway (this was before account-wide battle pets was anything but a fever dream).

Huh. Well on the one hand it gives me a little hope. But then on the other hand, it could have changed after it went to account-wide pets. So I don't know.

Maybe someone could tweet the guy who heads up the pet battles part of the game?

Same, I know I got multiples of some of the crocs but that was also back before the pets were actually battle pets.

I was about to post to the OP...but I noticed your post during the Preview of my post...and then cancelled it. After reading your link I was "like wholly crap!". But it does lend to exactly my experience...

I fished up the Magical Crawdad on two different toons on two different servers...so it is not account based (which is good)...but it does mean that you can get them on alts! Yay!

That seems odd, that it'd only be 1 per toon, especially considering they're cageable and tradeable.
