WoD pet news speculation and datamined

Fruit hunter - nice bird, what will come in 3 days from egg, what you can get on top of grom'gar. You can see map on scrin. On another scrin you can see this pet in pet journal, its stats and abilities. How youcan see this bird has rain dance and nocturnal, what means fly bonus, selfheal and devastating hits.

I also got the meadowstomper calf and while in Spires of Arak, I came across Ikky-- the little NPC I helped to hatch and I got a quest to get him as a battle pet. I saw someone mention the crimson spore... How exactly do you obtain that? Is it a drop?

Both Ikky and Meadowstomper seem to be "HORDE" only... have done all the pre quests around meadowstomper area on Alliance and still nothing, went to where Ikky quest is and NOTHING there either.. So....... "For The Horde" hehehehe

I play alliance and was able to pick up and complete the quest that rewards the Meadowstomper. You need to complete all the initial Nagrand quests at Telaar. The quests will eventually lead you to The Ring of Trials and the quest should be unlocked.

I'm in the process of trying to get the quest that rewards Ikky, but I'm currently stuck behind a bugged quest. I'm guessing the quest can be completed by both alliance and horde since it rewards Arakkoa Outcasts reputation (neutral faction), but we'll see.

I got both Ikky and Meadowstomper on my Alliance toon. Ikky was waiting for me at Veil Terokk after freeing him of his egg/feeding him.

Looked but didn't see it mentioned, found just east of Gronn Canyon in a cave. Cave is like on the last N in the word Gronn on the map.

When I found that egg, all I got was aged yolk in an earlier build, I always thought that was where the Young Goren Hatchling was going to be, but then they removed it from the pet journal, and now the only Goren says it comes from Mining. So it'll be interesting what is in it, perhaps the Goren disguise toy that was datamined. I'm gonna make a premade 100 to look again since I already looted it early D:

Did some testing. Looks like Pet EXP will be the same from tamers in WoD as it was with MoP. The only exception is Ashlei, who is easier to beat, but ironically also gives more EXP than any tamer in the game currently.

MoP tamers have a 5.0x tamer bonus. WoD tamers do as well, except for Ashlei who has a 6.0x tamer bonus

Flying between tamers feels longer...so not sure how that stacks against MoP (feelings could be wrong afterall).

According to the latest Wowhead newsbit about Proffessions, Blacksmiths can buy the recipe for Soul of the Forge and craft the pet. So it should be fairly easy to attain.

I think all of the new crafted profession pets will be obtained in the same fashion. To access the vendor that sells the recipe for the pets, you need to build the profession building in your garrison + have at least a skill level 1 in said profession.

I've tried it out with BS, Tailoring and Eng. So far both BS and Tailoring have the pet recipes for sale, but the Eng vendor looks incomplete still and didn't have anything for sale. Recipes cost one "secret of Draenor [profession]", which is a craftable currency (1 day cooldown).

I tried a couple of them at the beginning of August and they still did have the 5x on MoP tamers. I should probably go back and check again since there were a few builds in between, but I don't really expect it to change.

Someone in guild chat was asking what teams I used for the new trainers.........

Here is a quickie list of all the pets I use to defeat all 6 of the new "Grand Master Pet Tamers". Didn't do much research, just picked ones that were strong against who I was fighting. Every battle was won the first time..... Might not be the fastest or best teams, but they worked for me

I think I'm loosing my marbles I can't find "The Everbooom"............. Finally got the quest from the Inn at my garrison [url=http://wod.wowhead.com/quest=37150]For The Birds[/url] which ends up getting you the [url=http://wod.wowhead.com/item=118921]Everbloom Peachick[/url]... Anyone done this one yet? Maybe it's the same at everyone's inn today? Either way I can't find the durn entrance to the dungeon.

A few people have mentioned that even if you can get into the dungeon, the NPC that you need to save isn't even there. Not sure if that's changed since the previous patch, but if not it's not worth trying to complete the quest yet.
