I got it under 50 casts, and I allready turned in the fishing quest when I got the pet.

Got it just now after 89 casts, fishing quest long done. At least one pet from the Faire that we can acquire in a reasonable amount of time

My alt got it in 189 casts.

It took me between 320 and 350 casts to get my Sea Pony. I had a guy cheering me on that said his two characters got their Sea Ponies at around 300 casts as well.

Couple of hundred casts for my main to get hers...I didn't count the exact number because I got so bored. So worth the wait though, I love the little guy!

So true! And it's the best one too.

I caught mine in under 50 casts as well. Pleasantly surprised she's so easy to get, I was fully expecting another ROUS situation. (So many magic eaters!)

I got my Sea Pony in under a minute. A whopping 2 casts! I drank a water walking pot and strolled out to those rocks across from the pier. He sure is a cute little bugger.

That's how I do it. I wouldn't be surprised if there were add-ons, though.

I've been using Fishing Buddy for years now, it's a great addon. It shows how many casts you already performed in each zone and what you caught there so far. But there are many other nifty little functions that make fishing easier and I couldn't fish without it anymore.

Just got this today (along with the darkmoon cub that I worked all week to get lol) I wasn't keeping count, but it didn't take me long..about 15 mins, if even lol.

I think the drop rate on this was a bit too high. Unfortunate the best DMF pet is the easiest to get, and the duller ones will take us months.

Took me 1450 casts to get it... same story for several other collectors on my realm. I still think there's a bug somewhere that ups the droprate for some people, similar to how the crocolisks in the city quest affected the droprate of the rare fish in IF.
