Have never received a Battle-Stone after a battle.

The only way I have ever received a Stone was in the bags from the dailies and that's it, I haven't seen one in days and I have heard you can get them from defeating pets in the wild, is this true or did I miss some sort of nerf to the drop rate? I get Elder Charms all the time but that's it. Thanks

You can get stones after wild battles, but they have a very low drop rate (feels like 1-2% though I don't know the actual drop rate on them).

Yeah you can get them from wild pet battles but the drop rate isn't great, like I generally level 3-4 pets per day with wild pet battles in pandaria, and receieve 0-2 stones per day from doing that. The good part is that you can farm stones of specific family with wild pet battles, since the stones you get are always either of the family of the primary pet, or generic ones that can be used on any pet.

Yeah, I've probably got three tops from wild battles. A full round of tamer dailies, fable, and spirits yields 3-5 for me when I have the motivation to do it. Which I currently don't

It's possible but they have a very, very, very, very low drop rate. I've all my pets to max level and I've only seen maybe 5 drops out in the wilds of the unmarked ones (that can be traded and sold.) The marked ones are dropped a bit more but not a whole lot more.

Leveling all my pets I got maybe a half dozen in wild pet battles.
Then doing pvp pet battling up to my first 2000 wins I hit maybe another half dozen.
After I got over 2000 wins I have gotten a lot more to drop I seem to get one now every 20 wins or so.
These are class specific and anything battles stones included as one.
So if not from pet battle daily bags the drop rate is bad.

Oddly enough I ended up getting the rare Flawless Battle-Stone that can be sold on the AH yesterday while leveling a pet, I was pretty pumped because I was finally able to upgrade my Gilnean Raven to a rare

I tend to level alts by leveling pets. I normally do it in KunLai Summit right by Kafi. I've leveled 5 toon to 90 from level 2 or 3 in that general area. I've had about 12 of the unmarked flawless drop in that time (so, an EXTREMELY low drop rate).

Ya it's really random. I have seen maybe 3-4 in the wild total but my buddy has gotten 3-4 in the last 2 weeks!!

The other side of that is that I have gotten so many of the spirit and panda pets, I have rows of them in my alts bank (I think I have 9 total Mountain Pandas) and my friend has not even filled his pet book yet.

During days I can sit in front of a computer, but don't have to pay strict attention to it, I've been PVP battling (500/5000 <sigh>). Nothing makes me rage more than getting the "Polished Battle-Stones." Gods those things are useless. On the other hand, I have gotten a flawless or 2 over those 500+ battles. Battles are so random, you are WAY better off relying on bags.

I recieved my first stone yesterday after doing hunderds of battles, drop rate seems very low indeed.
