Hi guys, can you help me please? If i understood well, there will be again Murkalot as reward for the new Blizzcon 2014 , too bad.... And no reward from Gamescom right ? Ty in advance for your answers. Federico.

I haven't seen any news about Blizzcon 2014 pet yet. Where did you read about the Murkalot?

He probably confused it with the page for last year. Theyve never repeated themselves.

I know they always changed the pet for each new blizzcon, thats why i was asking if you know any rumors (i got 600 pets). Well, i cant report the page cos i have less than 8 posts on forum^^ anyway i did it the reserch on Google "Blizzcon 2014+virtual ticket and if you check the goodies you will find the Murkalot. The page is for Blizzcon 2014, but maybe they simply didnt updated the rewards, since neither the virtual tickets are available, i have no idea about it. Anyway we will see what happen, if you any news please post it here. Ty.

On a side note, anyone know why even the virtual tickets are so damn expensive for what they are (basically a great long advert for Blizzard)?

It's all about the BlizzCon 2013, and has not yet got anything to do with BlizzCon 2014. So i'm fairly sure that they've not yet updated their website for 2014.

Seems so, but if you scroll to the top of the page I linked it does actually say 2014 there. Seems a bit strange that they started selling tickets 3 months ago but still haven't announced what the ticket includes.

They usually announce what the Blizzcon goodies are once they open up the Virtual Ticket sales. I'm curious when that will happen though. The convention is still a few months away, so I guess there's still some time.

I highly doubt that the pet will be the same as they would lose quite a few virtual ticket sales from pet collectors I think.

Blizzard ALWAYS lags on this. Basically since it's just icing on the cake for going, they probably don't push what they are going to have for goodies till they get closer.

Since they usually theme the pet with something new that is about to come out, maybe they want to keep it hush hush till the con gets closer....

I suspect the pet or mount will be themed something for WoD. Altho I love pets more, I think we are due for a new mount ;X

Probably Quintessence has right. Maybe the page will be updated when the virtual ticket will be on sale, that means in late september i think, with some new goodies and a new pet... I hope at least^^ Ty for your answers guys.

Murkalot went up on PTR in early October 2013: I forget when it was announced. We might not know until quite late.

Because they can? That's my best guess. There's enough demand for the Blizzcon loot codes that they're $100+ on ebay. Blizz could sell them directly, but people would probably complain about a $40 pet store pet. So selling virtual tickets is probably a bit of an excuse to sell you the pet at a higher-than-normal price.

I didn't watch any of it but I still paid the $40 for Murk.

The virtual ticket sales haven't been announced yet, so I'd say it's still unlikely that the pet will be the same. We'll know more when they announce the virtual sales. This website may have come up during a search (http://eu.battle.net/blizzcon/en/virtual-ticket/#goodies) but it's still clearly labeled 2013 - even the video at the top announces 2013 when you push play.

I'm sure they'll bring out something new like always Can't wait to see what!
