I took a stab in the dark and was thinking hogger could be the blizzcon pet this year. Well, we now have it named. What event do you think Hogger will be released for?

I believe at the moment it has not been added to anything yet, it was originally supposed to be from the southshore vs tarren mill, but was removed from that.

That is correct--this pet has been removed from all its potential events, so right now it's not attached to anything. I'm still hoping it's coming soon!

So it would seem that Hogs was merely a decoy for the "real" 10th anniversary pets. We can still hope that Hogs will be available for some future event, though. *crosses fingers*

It was a cruel, cruel joke Blizz played on us. Getting our hopes up for Hogs and then taking him away like that. I really hope they find a way to slip him in somewhere.

MMO Champ is saying Hogs is a pet awarded for Victory in Hillsbrad.
I sure hope this isn't a retrospect thing. I didn't do the event because I detest PvP.
I hope they change this or I will be a sad panda.

Same here, Danneris. I'm not going to worry about it until it goes live. Things change on the PTR.

They lured us into Molten Core with that small hatespark drop chance. It was a DECOY!

Seconded. Only MMO-Champion seems to have it datamined from the 6.1 PTR, Wowhead doesn't have it listed in today's PTR patch notes. Hogs is also not in the Pet Journal on the PTR. Could just be a mistake with MMO's datamining.

So don't panic yet. We'll see what happens.

Hopefully Hogs will be from a different, upcoming achievement or some other source.

I feel bad for anyone who didn't get at least ONE win in for hillsbrad.. WOW

On MMO-C, Hogs is said to be awarded to people who have won a TM vs SS battle...

Warcraftpets.com (as you guys carry some weight) needs to petition Blizzard to make an alternate method of aquiring this pet..

Myself and probably a lot of other people, avoided TM vs SS like all other PvP content, because there was no reward worth the pain of PvP..
Now they will retroactively reward people with a unique pet.. That's simply not fair treatment. Had we known, I could have AFK'ed a battle or two, BUT WE DIDN'T!!!

Not that I want to start anything, but.. AFK'ing in PVP is the biggest scumbag move in WoW, IMHO.

Again, hopefully I didn't come off harsh, but I just want people to at least play the game, but I get what you're saying. Supposedly they are bringing back the event's for 11th year forward (not the 10th anniversary pet though, but the pvp, and raid)

I do know, it's a dick move.. But I cannot find any enjoyment in PvP content..

I don't try to hide my loathing PvP.. I'm completely open about it..

E.g. When I was forced to do the two BGs for MoP cloak, I did one 7 times and the other 15 times.. Lost all of them.. Then I AFK'ed one of each and we won them..
I play Horde, and we are supposed, according to statistics, to rule all BGs except AV and IoC.. Go figure...

Since then, I decided to avoid all PvP content, unless the reward is really really good... Therefor, it's a dick move from Blizzard to give an über reward for a BG, one months after it was removed..

I would have pvp'd, if i knew I would have gotten a pet.

My point exactly..
Look at how many PvP-players who ran MC for the mount, without doing any noteworthy damage.. They KNEW they got a mount from it..
We PvE-players never knew TM vs SS would yield a pet, which is much more valuable than a mount..

This is seriously an assinine move, rewarding a pet for stuff that is no longer possible to do!

Going to be a very very sad panda if it turns out they're retroactively putting the pet in for a now-retired achievement. I really hope MMO has it wrong, but I guess we'll know soon from folks on PTR...

They should link it to the hogger plush instead, would give an incentive for buying it.
