safari hat

Post by Meggz » October 20th, 2014, 9:21 pm

has anyone else noticed the Safari hat now gives a buff instead of replacing your helm?
and while the buff is active it replaces your current helm with the Safari hat similar to how Moonfang's Shroud does.

I think it's a nice change, I can count a few times in raids realising I am still wear the hat.

Yeah that is nice for the not having to remember to equip it but on the other hand it doesn't last through deaths so for my mule logged at deadwind pass dies every time and I have to refresh it each time which is a pain.

This killed me as I was flying to my first trainer after the patch!
But considering all the times I have gone into raid, killed a boss for the first time with my group and discovered the old pet hat on my head (I don't show helm) it is a life saver. Because nothing is more embarrassing than killing a heroic boss for the first time and then comparing gear to find it lodged on your head. Especially if someone else is the one calling you on it lol

Side note, if you run as soon as the battle is over, you can get past the mausoleum and the bad guy will turn around and leash back.

LOL brings back memories... that was such a common problem for our druid healer in her permanent tree form.

I agree, there are a number of things that really belong in there that didn't end up there. And something like the safari hat, which gets sent to every toon you have, is a perfect candidate.

It used to be in the Toybox. Then they took it out some patches later.
