A while ago I saw a tweet listed here, that stated Blizzard was aware of the missing Sea Calf and would have it fixed. Which id expect to be by 6.1

So not having much to do today, I decided I might as well bite the bullet and start on lunker fishing for the coins, choosing the fish that would yield the 125 multistrike statfood added in 6.1

So far its been roughly 3 hours of fishing. The yield? TEN lunkers!

I am absolutely flabergasted, this is far higher than what I experienced when fishing for the Land Shark.

1000. Will be 950 when I empty the stack of supreme worms i had and going back to the 150 lure fishing hat i have.

Pushed it to 1100 fishing. Im up to 15 Lunkers for today now, and signing off for the night. Far, far more than I had expected.

you have inspired me to start fishing this weekend for my land shark, as its a long weekend in OZ i might even get enough for that

I fished for 2hrs last night and caught 4. Skill was over 1000, but I can't remember the exact figure. I wish I had your luck!

Ugh, I fished for an hour and a half yesterday, waiting to get into the PvP island scene, and caught ZERO lunkers. And that was with the +100 hat and the worm on top of my Kal'uak fishing pole... If RNG hates me this much I am in for a long haul (at least I caught almost 200 enormous sea scorpions to refresh my healing poition stash).

Got another 5 lunkers in a few hours this morning. Havent had the time for more fishing yet today.

I fished for two hours, 1115 fishing, zero lunkers.

I am unimpressed. WHY do the gods hate me so much?

did you remember to assign nat to the fishing shack? Also, theres no lunkers in Garrison or Open Waters.

Yes, Nat is assigned to the shack, he showed up a dozen times, died a half dozen of them, I was in FFR near the Bloodslag...that area.

My RNG just sucks. It always has.

If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

I'm scared to start trying for the Landshark because of RNG woes. But once I start I'll be deadset determined to finish....so I keep procrastinating. ha.

Okay, I need to ask, where is your magical fishing spot?!

Wait, what? <warning, I am an idiot> You mean lunkers only come from fishing circles? Bloody H E double hockey-sticks! Nat should be bouncing a beer can off my fat empty tauren head when he sees me fishing off of a giant mushroom in the middle of the ocean and telling me that!

Lava pools in the Boneslag in frostfire is where Ive been fishing.

I think I wrote it unclear. i meant open water as in the open sea. As theres no sea scorpion lunkers. Only inland yields lunkers.

I dont fish them from fishing pools.

I am at 30/50.

Best streak I had was 2nd cast and then 8th cast.

Worst was 271 caught fish/items before I got one.

I have spent a ton of hours on this and I do it here and there or I think I would go batty.

I really like an addon called Fishing Buddy. I would have no clue how many I fished without that. The Double Click Fishing feature is very nice as well. I can fish without having to hunt for the fishing icon. Single click to reel in, Double click to cast, very handy.

I would say my overall average is definitely in the 1% range.

That's OK, I'm still an idiot - because all I was fishing was ocean waters so I could make more healing potions (while hoping for lunkers). *sigh* OK, change of plans, thank you for the insight, much appreciated!

I might have to try that. I always found lava fishing amusing

Another 5, bringing me to 25/50 towards the Sea Calf. Had mythic raid training today, so not enough time to fish more. But at least im halfway now!
