So last night I look up on the shelf and see my Collector's Edition of Cataclysm sitting next to my normal box, and sure enough, checked on my account and hadn't registered it yet. Yay for Lil' Deathwing (#680).

Today I'm running around looking at old toons on servers and find a bank toon I had honestly forgotten about for several years...with almost 150k on him just sitting doing nothing. Time to go shopping!

Hurrah for the overloaded AH on Illidan-Horde of being some use to me when I left actively playing that server a loooooong time ago. Just added the following lovelies to the collection with the hidden away stash of gold:

So auction ended, I got a Spineclaw Crab on the cheap that someone had an initial bid that was about 12k lower than any other auction out there (I think there's 6 on Illidan now)

That said, Spineclaw Crab was #689 after I finally un-derped and picked up the two guild pets from the guild I'm in that had them unlocked. I have 4 more rep pets in flight, and then we get to the really dumb things I need to start getting on eBay...sigh

If people have the means to do so, I suggest planting a toon on Illidan-Horde. it's a rediculously high pop server and the economy there is very very strange. Some stuff is super rare and expensive (like high-end raiding BoE's and mats) but things like pets are in abundance there, and you can sometimes catch amazing deals on things.

Word of warning, during peak times there's almost ALWAYS a queue to log on (it's that full of a server, and why I left it).

possibly a silly question, but does it have to be horde side? I thought they merged the auction houses of horde and alliance ...

If you want to watch trade chat for people selling things, you should go horde; they far outnumber ally on Illidan. If you're just going for the AH, you can go either.
