"Breeding" Pets

Greetings.

Pre-WoD there were rumors/testing on breeding pets and thoughts it might come at some time. Any rumors that that still might make it in the game at some point?

I hadn't heard/read anything, but curious if someone had.

I have alot of duplicates that weren't for battling, but on hold just-in-case for breeding purposes only! I'd happily release them (clean up the collection!) if this is a feature dead and buried by the devs. But don't want to and then find out it's coming out in a year!

I think they shelved that idea indefinitely now. It was just too complicated and didn't fit with the core of the game of questing, raiding, and pvp.

I guess that it wouldn't work this way. Otherwise a [pet]Sister of Temptation[/pet] would be too busy to battle, actually.

Not sure what would be the point of this. Rerolling existing breeds? That's discrimination of many pets with a single breed.
Obtaining breeds not obtainable the other ways? But how to create genetics with three factors? :p
(Blood groups? O_o)
