Horde/Alliance Fanatic: how hard is it?

Like a fair number of us, I don't care for non-pet PvP. The [pet]Horde Fanatic[/pet] and [pet]Alliance Fanatic[/pet]...anyone know how difficult they are? I'm considering excluding them from my list (even though I hate to do that for a pet I technically could obtain). Also, anyone know if this is a two for one deal like the moonkin pets?

If you just do pvp world quests when you see them you should eventually get enough honor to prestige and get the pet.

This has concerned me as well, though I did notice there are items that drop from naga that can be handed in to a friendly murloc king for 200 honour.
Also do I have to get prestigious on an ally toon as well to get the ally version, does anyone know?

To prestige will require you to grind out 50k honor.

*sobs quietly into hands* I do appreciate the information, thank you! I think I'll just put this pet on the back burner (very back). Hopefully it's at least a two-for-one deal. I don't mind a little PvP, but I don't think I have it in me to grind out this achievement twice...

Thank you so much for this recommendation. I didn't even think to do the PVP world quests because, well, they're PVP. But you're right, they do reward honor, and they're relatively low-stress (so far). It's slow going to earn 50k honor, but I'm slowly getting there.

My friend just prestiged. Alliance/horde are two different pets. You cannot cage them.

50K could be easy it is hard to say with no idea how much you get for doing various PvP things.

Well, I've set myself the goal of doing at least 5 of the pvp world quests every day until the pet (prioritizing by reward, artifact power missions first). At 300 honor per it seems reasonable to try for 1.5k a day. So far it's proving not to be awful at all, gotten some nice stuff out of it even and ran into some helpful people. I've had more pvp hassles honestly from joining groups for the warden elite quests only to find myself transported to a pvp realm where 8 angry tauren proceed to stomp me. So far I'm up to honor level 21, so it's steady progress. If you keep at those quests it shouldn't be too bad. At least not for the pet, the mounts I suspect will be entirely different story.

How many times do you have to prestige for the pets and mounts and things? I've checked Blizzard's official preview, Wowhead, ect but nothing ever says anything except you need to prestige to get the rewards. There are no indicators of what is gained on any given tier.

I only know that you get the pet with the first prestige, don't know about the other items.

What I'm hearing says the first mount is at prestige 3, I'm obviously not that far along so can't confirm it. Pet is known to be at prestige 1. As for the other mounts and rewards, I don't think anyone knows yet. Prestige is supposed to be capped at 4 for this season according to what I've read. I just know it will take a long time to reach some of those things. Prestige 1 looks like it won't be bad at all, I should hit that in about 1 month, possibly less. Going further though, it will be a long term grind like trying to get any tmog gear out of warlords raid.

And don't forget, AV is typically PvE with a dash of PvP involved from my experiences (or at least on my battlegroup).. so, if you want something a little less painful, you could hit AV.. I somewhat enjoy AV as a dash of PvP if I am trying to score some "easy" honor.. which is what myplan for this is..
/sad panda that I gotta do it twice tho

I've more or less resigned myself to having to do this (on both sides too >_<) so I have a simple question, is it faster to do PvP World Quests or Battle Ground (normal ones, I don't think I'll ever set foot in rated)? So far I've been doing the World Quests because they don't actually involve PvP most of the time, but it's slow going.
