Is this pet only possible to get as Alliance?
Cured Ham is flagged as Alliance only and Nigel only have 4 pets for sale..

I think so as it's part of the Alliance Drustvar storyline/side quest content.

Will it be available to Horde, once I complete the quest on Alliance, or do I need to unlock Nigel on my Ally toon too and farm currency?

Won't have to farm currency as charms are account bound. Unsure of how Nigel's inventory is effected cross faction, I'm currently going hard on leveling my DH, but I will test it once I'm free as I have Nigel's full wares on my Alliance char and have a 120 Horde.

Vendor in Anyport that sells the chocolates you need to find Nigel is neutral, Horde can buy from Nigel too.

Haven't tried it myself but looks like the quests that unlock additional Nigel pets can also be done by either Alliance or Horde.

It's also cageable, so you can buy/trade for it if you really don't want to level an alliance toon.

I am a little behind this xpac since I dont have a toon at 120 yet, but I do have 1 alliance and 1 horde at 119 so I will be able to enjoy the hunt for more pets shortly :/

I have tested this and Nigel's inventory is character specific so you will have to roll an Alliance character if you want to buy the Drustvar Piglet from him.

Not sure about piglet but was also told smoochums (sp) was ally only sold by Nigel, but last evening I did the quest line and can purchase smoochums as Horde from Nigel. I would think if you can do the quest or whatever for piglet as Horde he will then have it for sale.

Are your characters Alli/Horde characters on the same server? Mine aren't so that might be the reasoning for why mine aren't cross faction.

I have a level 10 Ally on same server, do not think that would make a difference unless my Ally was max level also.
