The achievement tracker, as well as this site, says I have 970 unique pets.
When opening my Pet Journal, it says 968 unique pets. Am using Rematch, and I make sure I have no filter selected. Anyone any idea why the numbers are different?

My guess is that the Guild Herald and Guild Page are learned on a different toon. These two pets are character-specific (also faction-specific), so they won't show up on any character that didn't personally add them. Your WarcraftPets collection also says 970 unique pets so it's likely the Herald and Page causing the discrepancy.
