Question: Operation: Mechagon, is there a way to get back to the front?

When I was in a PUG going through Operation Mechagon, I noticed some wild pets on the surface level. Since it's a PUG, I decided to stay with the group until we clear it. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a way of getting to the surface level after you drop down the garbage chute. I check the pet journal and I don't see any pets out of Mechagon outside of the 2 boss pets I don't yet have.

So is there a way to get back to the top?

We had the same issue and spent AGES looking for a way back but it doesn't seem possible.

There's a similar issue with the raid. After a certain boss you cant get back to the start where the pets are.

For Mechagon: If you let the instance soft reset and then zone back in, you should spawn at the end (if it was a full clear), but you can work your way back to where the 3 wild pets spawn. There should be no mobs blocking your way.

If you want the pets on the surface of Operation:Mechagon, note that those can spawn outside the instance on Mechagon Island itself. Only the wild pets unique to the dungeon spawn inside/underground.

It is possible to enter Operation: Mechagon on an Alt and find 3 of the 4 'wild' pets in the instance as secondaries on the surface. You don't need to clear any trash. Pets that appear as secondaries on the surface are: Alloyed Alleyrat, Clanking Scrapsorter, and Copper Hopper. Only H4ND-EE is missing as a secondary and he has to be caught in the underground section as a primary.

I did this on an alt that hadn't cleared Operation Mechagon and found the 3 surface pets very close to the entry spot after around 45 instance resets. Happy Hunting!
