Came across this NPC in southern Jade Forest. He's neutral but won't talk to me.
The fish are all named Tiny Goldfish

Pet vendor! Wonder if he sells both goldfish and water striders?

I just found him too. I think you have to have the required rep to get him to talk to you, but I am pretty stoked about the koi fish pets he has around him.

Edit: From the screenshot, looks like the vendor is part of the Jinyu faction (alliance) or at least of the fish-people race that make up the Jinyu faction. (The horde equivalent would be the Hozen.) If this is correct, then I'm going to venture out on a limb and guess that there's another pet vendor somewhere in Pandaria (for horde). Or this vendor could be neutral too.

I'd expect a lot more aquatic pets now that they're making common use of the bubble pets recently. Baby Shark may finally make his return after all!

Just hit Revered with the Jinyu faction (2500 reputation per quest so it's quick) and still can't interact with him. Hopefully he's not a tease and just NYI

A good few of the Reputation-related pets are only available at Exalted, though...

Are there any other factions in that zone? Or maybe the vendor is quest related, have you finished all the quest lines in the zone? Or it's possible that the vendor is just NYI.

I doubt he's activated yet, a lot of the pet stuff hasn't been implemented yet. Let's face it, it's not part of the core game for most people and not a major selling point. We'll see more stuff in the coming few months I'm certain.

Yeah, pretty sure he's just not activated.
I have finished the (as it is right now) entire quest chain, and have been back later to check for possible dailies.

Will check again when they patch.

I have a goldfish in a bubble... but it's called Fishy, not Tiny Goldfish...
It's also not in the pet journal.

Yeah, seems like there's a quest reward pet that was added after I finished the Pearlfin Village quests.
