I feel like I'm going crazy. Yesterday I had the thought as I played with my druid that I wanted her old cat friend out again. She had a cat pet who used to follow her around, and she found it funny, this cat trying to learn how to be a cat from an elf. It was one of the cub models, like the Winterspring Cub and the Risen Saber Kitten. I have SCOURED my pet UI and this website and I can find no record of its existence. I think it was purple? I couldn't remember what I had named it, only that I had, but today I remembered -- its name was Cerra. No record of that name in my pet UI. Tried various alternate spellings in the hope that I had misremembered that bit, but nothing.

Have I remembered a pet from an alternate reality? What could have happened to Cerra?

If you look at the page of any of the 'cub' type pets (for example: https://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/b ... nther-cub/), there is a section that shows possible colors of this model. Can you find the right color of the cub you're looking for there?

can you perhaps meen the cat Twilight?

Winterspring Cub is blue-purple-ish.
Ash'ana is white, but it cn be considered as light blue too.
Since you don't remember pet exactly, maybe it was Xu-Fu, Cub of Xuen? It is blue and has model similar of cub.
There are also ghost cats like Widget the Departed
And as was mentioned above, there is Twilight, which changes color randomly.
I think those are all blue cats.

I checked out all of the cub models during my scour, and none of them looked right. It was definitely one of the cub models, not the Twilight or ghost cat models. It might not have been purple -- that might be a misremembrance -- but I'm pretty sure it wasn't any of the models listed. The only ones I could think of being close to my memory don't make sense with timelines, like the Winterspring cub I didn't earn until recently with a different character, so it couldn't have been the cat following my druid ages ago.

The weirdest thing about this is the name. I had a pet named Cerra. Where the heck is it? It is not in my pet database.

Not exactly the same model but also a cub/cat the Guardian Cub is purplish/blue.

Did you maybe rename, release or even sell it possibly and forgot?

I have never released or sold a pet, and I definitely wouldn't have released one my druid was so fond of, anyway. I feel like the only reason for a named pet not to show up in my UI is for me to have released/sold it, but there's no way, unless it happened by accident without me knowing. Which... surely no, right? It pops up with an Are You Sure? button, right?

Definitely wasn't Brightpaw; never had that one.

Not the Stormwind white kitten by any chance? Or the Snow cub?

Do you have a time frame of when you had it/got it? Not sure whether item recovery would work for that.

Spectral Tiger Cub maybe? I love that little cutie!

Wasn't there a ability or glyph druids had that allowed you to charm woodlands critters?
Could be that it wasn't a actual bettle pet
