How do I remove learned battle pets from my journal?

Hello!

I am still fairly new to the whole battle pet system and enjoying it a lot!
Though, I have a question about releasing / removing learned battle pets. As I thought you could only remove battle pets from your journal when they're cageable. In this case, I want to get more Westfall Chicken in different breeds. I read a comment about the Westfall Chicken being removable from the journal (this comment is on the Westfall Chicken page on this site), but when I check my journal, it doesn't appear to be removable or a button to release the chicken. In this case, is it pure luck if you get 3 different breeds? Does this button only appear when you have too many? Or am I missing something?

I don't know either.

Some pets are cageable, and can be removed by Caging them.

Some pets are captured, and can be removed by Releasing them.

I think if you have two or more quest pets, you can release all but one. I have a vague memory of reading that somewhere. But I don't know for sure.

I have no Release option for my single Westfall Chieken (a quest pet) but I do for my twp Singing Sunflowers (also a quets pet).

I do see the comment.

I'd say try capturing another, and see if the Release option appears.

I've just achieved another Westfall Chicken and now the release button appears. So I can confirm, if you only have 1 pet the button won't show. The button only appears when you have 2 or more
