Finding Flawless Stones

Besides from supply bags what other ways can you get chances at stones?
PvP?
Killing wild pets?
Capturing wild pets?
Beating NPC tamers?

Defeating a wild pet in battle has a chance to drop a family-specific stone or a flawless stone. "Defeating" includes killing the wild team and/or capturing.
I don't think you can earn a stone through PVP or defeating the Tamers that don't offer a daily bag.

Ahh ok, would I get a greater chance at say a Mech Flawless Stone if I kill mech critters?

where would be a good place to hunt humanoid stones? if their is such a thing

I've got 2 humanoid stones from the Kun Lai Runts, there aren't many of them but there aren't really many places with a lot of high level humanoids.

I did recieve a stone from a trainer that doesn't give a bag. The one in moonglade is part of the daily chain to beat all the kalimdor trainers. From her I got a flying stone
before I turned the quest in and got the bag. Has only happened to me the 1 time though so could be very rare.
