I don't know if there's been a thread like this but I'd love to get some more ideas for names for my pets. How do you name yours? For instance...

I have three bandicoons: Bacon, Ham and Porkchop
Mongooses: Rikki, Tikki and Tavi (after the mongoose in the jungle book)
Feral Vermling: Sweetums (kinda looks like sweetums?)
Nightsaber Cub (Simon), Cornish Rex Cat (Odie), Cinder Kitten (Vidi) all because they remind me of my real cats.
Purple Puffer: Fish Stick
Clockwork Gnome: Gerard... he looks like a proper english gentleman

so, what clever names have you come up with?

Terrible Turnip: Samhain (in old days, they used turnips instead of pumpkins for Halloween)

I named my Porcupette Payne, because that's the trainer that I got it from.
I named my Ghostly Skull Bob because . . . well because how can you have a skull with glowing eyes and NOT call him Bob?

Since I'm a hunter I spent so much effort naming hunter pets that I'm kind of named out and haven't even started on the battle pets... But I like to read and consequently my naming reflects that. Some ideas:

Enchanted Broom - Sweepy
Little Fawn - Doe
Phoenix Hatchling - Flamers
Singing Sunflower - Sunny
Sinister Squashling - Pumpkie
Stone Armadilly - Armie
Wild Golden Hatchling - Lemon

All of my names usually have some kind of reference... mostly to TV shows/movies or books. here's some of them:

Personal World Destroyer- Unicron
Panda spirits- Aang, Katara, Toph, Zuko (I'm sure you can guess who's who)
Darting Hatchling- Wally West
Cheetah Cub- Cheetor
Azure Whelpling- Saphira
Imperial Eagle Chick- Zeus
Mr. Wiggles- Babe
Wild Crimson Hatchling- Mushu
Sea Pony- Horsea
Proto-Drake Whelp- Charizard
Fluxfire Feline- Ravage

There are some exceptions... some of my pets are named after friends, and others from WoW lore (mostly the dragons)
