Hey guys. With the release of the newest patch we got access to Darkmoon Faire Island and the Sea Pony fishable pet. I have noticed that it seems like people are getting this pet at a decently high rate, I got mine after 5 casts the first day that I tried, the 2nd day of the fair.

I just wanted to start a forum where people write in how quickly they caught this little pony to see how the drop chance is turning out to be for my own curiosity.

I fished up mine on the first day after 61 casts.

first day, about an hour and a half. got my boyfriends after about 3 hours.

96 casts...

I got it barely a few casts after finishing the Fishing monthly.
So... 12?
Certainly no more than 20.

362 casts. not so bad really.

the sewer rat took 1700ish casts. :p

I'm at 150, still no Sea Pony yet. The Sewer Rat took me over 10,000 casts so I'm preparing for the worst.

I did the DMF fishing quest and got the 5 required quest fish. Was in a hurry to go off and do the daily games, but I said "One more cast for good luck" and, bam, there it was on cast number 6!

Same as above here. First day of the faire did the quest and fished 5 times, went and did everything else the fair had to offer as far as getting tickets that day, figured it was a good a time as any to start farming, and then one cast later I was done.

I got mine in about 150-ish casts and I usually have good luck when it comes to farming random-chance pets.

I only consider that a high amount of casts because all the people that I see getting it in 4-5 casts. In the grand scheme of things, it really wasn't bad

I got mine within maybe 10-15 casts. I finished the fishing quest for the Fair, then went back and prepared for the long haul...but caught the little pony within maybe 2 minutes.

I got mine in about 23 casts.

Took me a little over 200 casts on the first day of the Faire. I was prepared for the worst, like the Sea Turtle grind, but was pleasantly surprised.

it took me about 200 cast >< I was thinking I was not going to get it, then my husband was like do it once more and I got it lol

1440 casts from the boardwalk. There's rumors on my server that the achievement is bugged and gives you a much higher droprate if you're on the fishing quest, some of my friends are also at 1k+ casts with no luck whereas others have gotten it as early as the 5th cast. The majority of those with low casts having had the fishing quest when they got the pet while those of us with very high number of casts all turned the fishing daily in before we managed to get the pet. Anyone else hearing similar things on their server?

I'm not sure how long it took. I was fishing off and on while getting dinner ready and then told myself to stop when the hour finished. So maybe half an hour or so... My wife got it shortly after that. So it didn't take too long.

I used about 10-20 casts first in some pools, and then i used like 30-60 mins of effective fishing to get it

My first one was pulled up in 4 casts.. and I've done four more since and the largest pull count was about 300 +

I got it the first day, had already turn in the fishing quest. It took me 234 casts.
