Ah, the terrible turnip. It's a zone drop from the Valley of the Four Winds. I just wanted to see if anyone has been lucky enough to find one yet. (I know I haven't been )

Hmm, is it BoE or BoP?

It is? Rats, I was hoping it was something we could get by farming.

Terrible Turnip is BoE.

I may have to resort to waiting for it to pop up on the AH if I can't find a good spot to farm once MoP goes live. >_<

One thing of note: the Terrible Turnip is the only pet I've seen (so far) to have a "False Swipe" type ability... that is, a move that will not reduce the opponent below 1 health. If this stays the only pet with Weakening Blow (or a similar ability), the Turnip stands to be extremely useful in capturing pets, and thus, extremely valuable.

Hopefully a few other pets will gain a similar ability soon!

I have a feeling it will have something to do with the player farms. Maybe a "world drop" from a Turnip patch?

I'm happy to see it in! Probably won't be Turnip-exclusive, but either way it's going to be a very popular pet.

the beta pet battles have been live for a while now, anyone found this one yet?

After a little digging around Wowhead, apparently it's from growing Onminous Seeds, some claim they found the seed from harvesting other plants, though it's unsure if there's special conditions or what.

Said plants mentioned so far was Striped Melons and Scallions, like i said it could either be a "Zone Drop" that's rarely found from harvesting plants, or maybe it's only from a few select types or whatever. 0,0

i can comfirm it comes from Onminous Seeds,i got it yesterday and today a terrible turnip was bouncing on spot where i had planted it. i got the seed from picking up my plants but cant remember which cause i planted carrots turnips and couple others

I have heard rumors that you most often get the Ominous Seed when you harvest the "crop of the day" (from the drunken fish guy). I've started trying that, but no luck yet.

I'm 99% sure the Ominous Seed is a rare random drop from any of the plants that you harvest from your farm. If someone can prove me wrong, please share! XD

Having now grown my turnip , I can say yes, the seed is a drop from your crops. Rumor has it that you have a better chance of getting it if you plant the "crop of the day" from Jogu (the "listen to the drunken fish" guy). Like everything else it takes a day to grow.

There's a turnip pet in MoP? That's awesome.
