I finally got down to re-import my main into the beta so I could use all my pets and I guess that pushed me over the requirement for the Going to Need More Leashes achievement. The strange part was that I didn't get a letter with the Feral Vermling attached. Instead, it was just stealth-added to my pet list. Didn't even know I had the little fuzzball until I was looking through my journal for doubles...

I wonder if this is how they're planning on doing things when the beta goes live, or if this was done this way simply because this is the beta?

Maybe Pets awarded from Achievements has been changed so that characters can only have one of them, assuming that there are next to no "replacement" pets that Stable Masters could provide if in the case of destroying the item...though im unsure if caging up a pet then destroying it would make them appear at the stablemaster, or even if Non-tradables could be caged at all. (not a part of the Beta)

Has anyone passed pet milestone achievements recieve their reward pets by mail? or do they simply pop out of nowhere inside your Journal? (or possibly, it was done like that so players who passed milestones but are inactive can't miss pets due to expiring mail...?)

On the PTR I bought all the variant colors of the talbuk and other mounts that I've never bothered with before. This put me over 100 mounts and the Blue Dragonhawk reward just showed up in my mount tab. Got an announcement for the achievement but no mail of any kind.

I got the Feral Vermling and the Jade Tentacle the same way, no notice or mailing, it just showed up in the list.

I'm actually a little sad about this. I kinda liked reading the little notes from Breanni.

I agree. I understand why they changed it, but I'm going to miss all of the letters. I always liked reading what the senders had to say!

I enjoy reading the messages that come with the pets too. It would be such a shame if they stopped coming.

Maybe this is just for the beta, and we'll continue receiving the achievement rewarded pets in the mail on live servers.
