I have a question and i can not find it. Is Blizzard going to higher the amount of pets soon so we can have more then the 650 spots now? They keep adding pets but the max amount stays the same, i have several duplicates, but i don't wan't to release them all, since some have for example an other colour or things like that. Does any1 know.

Blizzard mentioned that they can raise the total pet cap, but I haven't heard of any plans to raise it in patch 5.3 or the near future. We'll just have to wait and see when they decide to do it.

If you have duplicates that can be caged store them on a bank alt.

I would really consider why you are keeping duplicates. Yes many pets have multiple skins but also a lot of pets are exactly the same. There are really only 3 different rat/mouse skins. For example if you have a Black Rat and Whiskers the Rat there isn't much point to getting black, brown and white Undercity Rats.

Looking at your collection you have some that I can't think of any reason to keep duplicates of, such as the Creepy Crate or the Curious Wolvar Pup.

As of right now the general high end number of pets is in the 530-540 range, so I think the 650 cap will stay for now. 5.3 isn't adding a huge amount of pets, and I doubt they will throw a huge amount in for 5.4 either.

More then likely next expansion we will see the cap rise, since brand new zones equal lots of new pets

I haven't even got Venus yet, and I'm at 511 pets in total

I keep the creepy crate and wolvar pup just in case Blizzard makes them cageable at some point. Then I can sell them

As of today, PTR still says 651.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the cap being raised above 650 till the next expansion atleast; even in 5.3, the most pets people are going to have if they only collect unique ones will be around 560ish maximum. 5.4 likely won't add too many pets since it will be a raiding patch (siege of orgrimmar!)

As of right now I have 525 unique pets and am still missing 20 possible pets in the US region and they are adding 20 more pets in 5.3 I believe. So a total of 565 pets will be possible in 5.3 for the US. But I do agree that I doubt they will raise the cap until at least the next Xpac.

I swear they keep adding pet's all the time, i keep logging on and trying to tame and it says I have reached my limit ;( yesterday I noticed I had like 657, I cleared them all out to about 610 and today I sit her looking again and i'm back up to 650 Pet's for the Auction House.... woot woot...

If you log onto alts that you havent used since mists launched, their duplicate pets will be added onto your current ones until you reach the journal limit. if you haven't been loging onto alts... there might be a glitch and you should probably put in a ticket.

No No, no ticket Hehehehe, I like it, i keep taking all the duplicates out, put them in the guild bank I'm talking HIgh Dollar Pets here if they were live heck I have like 3 Darkmoon Rabbits heheeh

5.2 added 20ish and it was a raid patch, 3 of which were in the raids. So they'll add them where appropriate whether its a raid patch or a story/quest patch. It'll just depend if there are pets that they want to add at that time which make sense.

The patch 5.4 seem to be also a tradeskill patch, if true, we probably get some new pets this way too.

In any event , it's awesome for collecting and building up the Warcraftpets Guild Vault Every time I log on lately it seems they add another pet or two to keep me at 650+ , it's to the point now, first thing I have to do when I log on is cage some pets and put them in the GB so I can tame stuff if I find it
