Arena Tourny 2013 - which pet will we get?

Hello fellow pet collectors!
Murkimus the Gladiator or Murkimus Tyrannicus?
Since I'm REALLY bothered about the fact we don't know which pet we will be getting for this years Arena Tournament, I made 2 topics on EU boards. Please don't hesitate to post there if you want to know which one we will get, I really want to force some blue to answer. There is currently NO reliable source confirming one pet or another!

Oh my. Is there going to be a NEW pet?? I really would like to know if I need to do the tourney... again. I kind of enjoyed sitting it out.

I'm guessing the idea to add a new pet got pulled (for now). You'd think that if they were adding a new pet, they'd make a big deal out of it, as that would surely draw in more participants.

I'd love to know too. It sounds like they may have removed the new one before 5.3 went live based on a comment someone posted in one of those topics though.

I'm not sure how much weight this carries, but Murkimus Tyrannicus is currently not in the Pet Journal on the 5.4 PTR. Again, I don't know if this means anything or not, as the PTR can be changed/updated any time between now and the end of the Arena Pass.
Crossing my fingers that we'll get some sort of official answer soon!

G'day all!
Just wanting to add in some information here to avoid any false expectations from the Arena Pass rewards. Unfortunately at this time we have no plans to change up the pet that is rewarded for participating in 50 games in this years Arena Pass . This means that the pet you get rewarded in the mail will be Murkimus' Tiny Spear.
So this year's Arena Pass pet reward is the original Murkimus.

Sorry to all you guys hoping for a new pet, but this is a blessed relief to those of us who've dragged our heels about this in the past!

Ditto what Gromagrim said ... I'm kinda glad it gives me the chance to fill in the hole in the Pokedex, rather than add a new pet.

The blue confirm, toss it on the mainpage or edit it in on the Arena Pass news. A lot of people wondering whether to sign up or not because doubt about the reward. But 'Murkimus Tiny Spear', that cant be any more precise
