New battle pets:

• Blackfuse Bombling
• Dandelion Frolicker
• Droplet of Y'Shaarj
• Gooey Sha-ling
• Kovok
• Ashwing Moth (Spell only)
• Flamering Moth (Spell only)
• Skywisp Moth (Spell only)

Plus these, which look like they are related to Timeless Isle mobs, to me:

• Ashleaf Spriteling
• Azure Crane Chick
• Bloodcove Droplet
• Death Adder Hatchling
• Jademist Dancer
• Ominous Flame
• Skunky Alemental
• Spineclaw Crab
• Young Gulp Frog

I am most excited for the Sha-ling, the Alemental and Kovok.
Kovok is already the name of one of the big mantid "tank" creatures from the Dread Wastes, by the way, so it's safe to assume this pet will have that model (though I hope it's not orange...).

In fact, reviewing my PTR screenshots, I'm going to leap in and predict that the Timeless Isle-related pets will drop from the Rare mob that is associated with that "species".

For example, I expect the Young Gulp Frog to drop from Bufo, a Rare frog that spawns near the other Gulp Frogs.
(Bonus points to you if you get the reference to a certain popular cartoon of the moment )
Or, that the Spineclaw Crab will drop from the Monstrous Spineclaw. Or, that the Ominous Flame will drop from the Spirit of Jadefire, a rare mob that spawns in the same cave as the Foreboding Flame mobs.

You have to scroll down to the Spell Changes section. There is a total of 17 new summon spells, 14 with items to teach them, and 3 without. Here are the three that don't have items yet:

• Ashwing Moth
• Flamering Moth
• Skywisp Moth

Ahh, of course. Now I feel dumb

I'll edit them in. As far as I have seen there are no moths on the Isle, so my best guess is that these come from... somewhere else! ^_^ I guess them being spell-only indicates that they might be wild caught pets?

Could be! I wouldn't mind more moth pets, so long as they have either unique models/looks (like the Imperial Moth), unique idle animations, or unique/different battle abilities. Or all of the above.

I can't wait to see where all of these pets come from!

Speaking of interesting, Kovok is listed as a drop from the Timeless Isle, teaching a pet called Kovi-Wovi. The Gooey Sha-Ling is listed as "Zone: Timeless Isle", which is confusing to me; "Zone" usually indicates a wild pet, but the sha-ling has an item associated with it. Hum.

Both pets also have a "Developer's Note" indicating that their abilities are placeholders.

Also, in the spell details for the Skywisp Moth, it lists "Summon (Timeless Butterfly)"... so my guess now is that the three new moths will all appear on various parts of the Timeless Isle as wild battle pets.

Edit: I didn't notice it at first, but the Timeless Butterfly is itself a datamined pet:

Note that it is not cageable. Wild pets these moths almost certainly are.

Oh balls, let majority of those be wild pets. I have frankly had enough of this "rare mob drop"-thing already but also, it would be nice for a chance to get a batch of new wild pets to hunt instead of the mob grind.

I'd assume that is a lot of placeholder info. Blackfuse Bombling says Timeless Isle as well (though it ALSO says Siege of Orgrimmer), and I would be willing to bet that that one is a drop from the Siege boss of the same name.

Its probably safe to say that there isn't just one pet from the raid. I'd guess that Kovok would come from the Paragons, and the sha-ling (Sha of Pride?) and droplet of Y'Shaarj might be good guesses as well.

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully the drop rates will be a little better this time around.
Since they're companions, not just random items/spells, they -should- be in the journal when the build hits the PTR.

My bet on droplet of Y'shaarj is from either Garrosh or Malkorok, given how both of them draws upon the taint of the old god. Though I think Malkorok is more likely, we have never had a pet from a raid endboss.

Not of current content, but there are a few RWL pets that drop on end bosses.
Still, Garrosh drops a mount, so I'd say it's unlikely for him to get a second vanity item... Until I remembered Ji-Kun and Horridon.

lol, sorry to be so quick hehehe, yea, im on the isle, but NOTHING seems tameable or battleable yet. Lots of the ones in the list are running wild, but just placeholders i guess for now. there are those that are "critters" with the knife that you can kill and then the same ones with just the hand like nothing is there, which should be the pet's to battle ? ? ?maybe? hehe

The 4 pets of SoO are:


Blackfuse Bombling:The spider-bomb model.
Kovok/Kovi Wovi: The Kovok Kunchong model and coloration.
Gooey Sha-ling: A normal sha haunt. (smallest sha)
Droplet of Y'Shaarj: A purple, corrupted (Y'shaarj aura) sha haunt.

He's like another BOF, but you don't fight him, you fight his single pet and he is Lil' Oondasta, which looks just like a little version of Oondasta. 2444 health. Attacks - Spiritfire Beam, Frill Blast, and Crush. WOW, like 1 shot's everything This will take some time.

EDIT: Got lucky and he missed one time.... Used same BOF team as in the guide little swapping of pets to diff order, and you get 1,000 coins for a win.

You welcome to put it there That thread seemed to be more about EVERYTHING on the isle, this thread seemed more to have to do with PETS......

Just a disclaimer: Some of the new pets listed as "Timeless Isle" are still works in progress. At least a few have to come from the new raid.

Take this early preview with a grain of salt until things get finished up imo.
