Where did these pets come from??

I don't know what is going on, but I suddenly, have duplicate pets. They all seem to be pets that are purchased from vendors. Cats, moths, snakes, etc. I now have an extra of each pet that can be purchased from a vendor. I know I didn't have these extras before. Any thoughts on this?

I have not, all my toons are logged into at least once a month.

A mystery!!!
1. Were any of the pets above level 1 that were duped? are the dupes above level 1 also?
2. Nothing with a faction or server change recently?

These are all pets, that are obtained from vendors, snakes, moths, cats, etc. I have a couple that are leveled, the duplicates are all lv 1. All of my alts are logged into on a regular basis. When the pets went acct wide, I had over 900 pets in my journal, this is prior to being able to pet battle and capture. When panda went live, I spent a few days giving away extra pets, there are only a couple of them I kept duplicates of. At this time, every pet that can be purchased from a city npc, I now I have 2 of. It's just... strange...

Have you had to open a ticket regarding a problem with your pets? When the bug was happening with certain store pets/CE pets not being able to be summoned a GM did a refresh on my collection and duped a large quantity of my rare and hard to find pets. I ended up contacting blizzard and the GM responded with "we don't know which pets were yours before hand compared to what you have now so keep them, sell them, trade them, whatever you wish."
