Pet Related Acheesements

I discovered today that you can whip out a pet from your journal and /love it to get credit for the achievement [To All The Squirrels I Once Caressed?].
I would have to assume that you can now do the same for the previous squirrel lovin acheesements. It sure would save you a lot of runnin-round time, plus, you can easily get those achievements on your alts.
