I am very curious about different pets that sell for a lot less on different servers.
The best deal is based on the Market Price from TheUndermineJournal.
Say your Realm, Region and Faction you got your best deal.

Got a Kovok for roughly 1.3k just after the last wing of SoO LFR was opened. Pretty sure someone typed the wrong price.

I recently leveled a bit my DK on a dead realm, and my Paladin on a really high server. I found that I can snatch some pets on the dead realm on low prices (even got some silvermoon vendor pets at 1 copper each) and sell them on the high realm. Then with that gold I would buy pets that are cheaper than on my home realm. I personally find this, for me anyway, to be good for my budget and my income.

18g for Moon Moon, pretty sure that someone forgot to add a few 0s on the end of that.

Hmm.. toss-up between Crawling Claw for 1500g or Dark Whelpling for 9g, though the whelpling was just before LK when the pet books were added, but that was still a really good price.

Picked up an S/S Gilnean Raven for 3k recently...way -way- back when they were hard to get I managed to get a couple Hyacinth Macaws on the AH for 50s a piece as well

Got a Spineclaw for 2K just 3 days after the island opened, first one to sell on my server. Picked up a number of cheap pets on Madoran Horde server surprisingly, including an Anubisath Idol for 200 gold and a few other ones. It was such a deal, I just gave one of them to a pet guildee.

I think I got a nice deal off the AH just yet

I bought a Guardian Cub from the AH for 300g. Since I already had one, I sold it for 4k.

I don't have an add-on and I am too lazy to manually track all my buying and selling on the AH but my most common source of deals on pets seems to be the pets that have to be stoned. I've gotten numerous of the Argent Tourney pets, Children's week pets and similar pets for anywhere from 50-200gold because there weren't others posted on the AH and the seller obviously didn't understand the value of the pets. I also picked up a Gu'chi Swarmling for ~700g a week or two after the patch came out. Again the seller presumably underestimated the value of the pet because they were only a green quality pet.

I did pick up a living fluid along with a couple raiding with leashes pets for ~4k a week or two after the last patch came out which was about the low I had seen before the patch came out and I knew the price would be heading back up so I was pretty pleased. I also managed to sell all the misc pets for decent profits so my actual cost for the fluid was probably closer to 3k. Now seeing them for 10K+ on the same server.

The other place I've found some good deals is n the Misc -> pets category on the AH where all the items that teach you pets can be sold as opposed to the caged battle pets. I think a lot of people either don't realize that category is there or don't bother checking it as I've picked up a fair number of deals there that I've resold on the same AH for a profit just by learning them and caging them. The best deal recently was 3 white carp for 400g each.

I think the best deal I ever got was 6k for a Tuskarr Kite.

In a lot of cases the bargains come from folks who don't collect pets and just want some cash. I've noticed that to be the case with many of the raid pets; the first few that hit some of the smaller servers tend to be cheap because there's no market to compare prices to and people just want to get rid of them.

I got a Voodoo Figurine last week for 400g.
Clockwork Gnome 200g.
Magical Crawdad for 1400g.

I think I've gotten some other good deals, but I can't remember what they were.

I've had a few: various whelplings for sub 1000g, Oozling for 1200g o0 but may favourite was bagging a Darkmoon Rabbit for 7k

Also saw a Soul Trader beacon on a realm I had no gold on for 25k!!! but couldn't get to it in time

As others have pointed out: stoning cheap green pets and re-selling has made me a ton of money over the last few months (125k-ish in 5 weeks ) allowing me to pick up some of the more expensive pets to move around the realms I'm on

I wonder if the price of rare pets will go up or down with the new pet breeding feature blizzard wants to add.
The green pets price will go down for sure.
The best time to get a cheap Darkmoon Rabbit is when Darkmoon Faire is in town? I'm just wandering.

The Darkmoon Rabbit holds its value, so it doesn't really matter whether the Faire is in town or not.

Your best bet would be to let it be known that you will buy a B/B rabbit if you can get it for less than the going price for the more desirable breeds.

If breed matters to you, then you will probably be better off to set up a trade rather than trying to find one for under 20K.
