Why isn't this little guy an all year pet?
I like the idea that you get to log on for just one day a year do a quest and get a cool pet, but why can't we keep him around all year?
A little skeleton with a sombrero shaking maracas = Awesome
Wish he would stay all year

I asked about him at the Benefit dinner at Blizzcon, but all I was told was "Holidays that last one day aren't a priority."

It's a shame he isn't a mini pet since he is so adorable. I would love to summon him for at least a few days around Day of the Dead.

That doesn't make sense. Almost every holiday lasts a single day on the calendar. Psh.

Single day events, I should have said.

I'm not sure how difficult it could be to make this a proper companion pet. In fact, I would think it took them extra work to make this a nonstandard item that only will appear a certain two days of the year. They seemed to have went out of their way to make this a false pet and yet give a flimsy excuse as to why they did it.
Color me unsurprised.

Right, but the events last longer in-game because Blizzard made the decision to extend the holidays. They could easily make the Day of the Dead last more than one day. Since the length of the holiday is set by them in the first place, the excuse is even flimsier.

Haaaa. Agreed.
To be honest, I agree this little guy should be a permanent pet, but I'd rather get to keep my broom! :<
