Cataclysm Trainers?

Alright, so I never actually really got into pet battling other than collecting wilds. Yes, I realize now I really missed out. So, I've FINALLY finished the Northrend tamers, and now it's on to Cataclysm.

I know there have to be detailed threads to help you pick good teams. I THOUGHT I had a decent team for the Deepholm guy (when in doubt go turtles), but he pretty much one-shotted my Emerald Turtle baby.

I can't seem to find any threads with teams that worked for the Cata trainers. Can anyone link me to some?

Glancing at your collection I'd say you can use your Zangar Crawler/Kelp Scuttler (1-2-2), one of those Otters (1-2-2) (with more than 280 speed), and any Spider (1-2-1)to defeat the deepholm guy.

vs Ruby
- Rip > Blood in the water > switch out to your otter > dive

vs Crystallus
- switch out to your spider
- Brittle webbing > Leech Life > Strike > Leech Life > Brittle webbing > Leech Life > Strike until he's dead

vs Fracture
- Switch out to your otter
- Gnaw > Gnaw > Dive > Gnaw until he's dead

I believe it is even possible to kill him without leveling up your crab to 25.

That strat did it perfectly. Used an uncommon Golden Civet Kitten (same ability set) and leveled her to 24 to get enough speed. Zangar Crawler was 24 at the end, and Forest Spiderling, the only rare in my team, was 23. Not too shabby.
