Tell me more about yourself

I keep getting "Tell me more about yourself" when I try to start a battle with a Master pet tamer. Everything shows that I have not battled that tamer, but I keep getting that message. I have tried 2 Alliance toons and 1 Horde and I can not get a battle started. I defeated 32 master pet tamers. On achievements, it shows that I have not defeated that specific tamer, but it won't let me start a battle all I get is "Tell me more about yourself."

What can I do to start a pet battle?

Which tamer is it? Are you able to battle other tamers from that particular xpac?

The tamer was Major Payne.

It has happened with numerous tamers and with different toons.

How far are you in your quests? You cannot engage Major Payne, if you haven't done the others in Northrend first.

Also, all trainers in EK cannot be done on a Horde toon, and all trainers in Kalimdor cannot be done in an Alliance toon (both with one or two exceptions).
AFAIK, both EK and Kalindor are required to be able to start Northrend (well, technically Outland) trainers.
