Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
The H/P Starlette works fine here, but my H/H Starlette doesn't have enough oomph to one shot either Brutus or Rukus, which pushes this to 8 turns for me.Vapid wrote: Brutus and Rukus
I use 3x Iron Starlette
Wind-Up, Supercharge, Wind-Up - swap- Wind-Up, Supercharge, Wind-Up, done.
If you don't have 2 non-H/H Starlettes, then here's another 8 turn strategy.
Corefire Imp -/1/2
Clockwork Gnome -/-/1
Zandalari Anklerender 2/-/2 (Kneebiter 2/2/- should also work)
0: Start with Corefire Imp
1: Immolation
2: Wild Magic
3: Swap to Clockwork Gnome
4: Build Turret
5: Swap to Zandalari Anklerender
6: Black Claw (Brutus Dies)
7: Black Claw
8: Hunting Party (Rukus Dies)

Elanor
Ikky
1. black claw
2. flock
fox kit or any ninja with flurry
3. flurry
4. flurry
if flurry is a 3 hit with a crit round 3 elanor dies. Going to try this with a slower pet that has a higher attack

Highest attack for the flurry pet is [pet]Fjord Worg Pup[/pet] P/P attack is 325, still doesnt kill on turn 3 with 2 hits thou.Karls1s wrote:Elanor

Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
I think I figured out where the discrepancy was. They changed the AI scripts of the fight at some point. Note the AI script used for the first 3 rounds of this video:Monkeygreen wrote:Jerebear wrote:How do you get the Zandalari to survive the RI'd Fist of the forest on Round 3?
I've never had a RI'd Fist of the Forest on round 3.

The last time I had fought them they used this script, so I was having a hard time believing a 1200 health pet could survive an RI'd fist of the forest. I'm not sure when they changed the script (probably during the nerf?), but you are correct in that they don't use it on the 3rd round anymore.

Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
Fast one for Eleanor
Vengeful Porcupette 2,2,2
Any pet with 500ish hp and the ability to do 100-300ish damage.
Any pet
1) Powerball
2) Survival
3) Vengeance
4a) If Eleanor dies, Powerball for Eleanor's resurrection turn. Vengeful Porcupette will die. Collect lewtz.
4b) If Eleanor isn't 1-shot by Vengeance, Powerball. Vengeful Porcupette will die.
5) Switch in pet that has 500ish health and finish off Eleanor's 100-300 remaining hp.
6) Survive Eleanor's resurrection round attack. Collect lewtz.

Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
I've noticed for Eleanor that if you pass on her Undead bonus round, she won't attack. Such has been my experience with her.
Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
Hrmmm. That is interesting. I'll test that out next rotation.
On another note, the advertised strat for Quintessence of Light:
Should anyone need a just-as-fast alternative, good ole howl bomb still kills Quintessence in 5 rounds max. (Sorry Quinn- I hate to keep killin ya but I needs mah charms).
**edit- Just saw that Solitha pointed out this exact thing earlier in the thread... oops...**
Thanks!

On another note, the advertised strat for Quintessence of Light:
This is totally implausible. I tried it several times and the Whelpling ALWAYS dies well before the 4th turn due to the reflective damage of the double attack. The above strat definitely requires a second pet (best is probably another Nexus Whelpling or any another pet with Mana surge).Quintessence of Light
4-5 rounds Vapid front page strat
Nexus Whelpling P/P 1/2/2
R1 Arcane Storm
R2-4 Mana Surge
R5 Arcane Storm (probably dead at 4)

Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
Stitches Jr. can be done in four spells using Pandaren Water Spirt and Chrominius.
PWS: Geyser, whirlpool
Swap
Chrom: Howl, surge
Stitches dies and reanimates. Will die in the next round while Chrom is in recovery.

Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
Per our discussion, I tried various teams and passing the final round. Every single time, whether she was attacked the previous round or not, Eleanor attacked and did 200+ damage on her racial bonus round (she also attacks the round that she dies).I've noticed for Eleanor that if you pass on her Undead bonus round, she won't attack. Such has been my experience with her.
I'm not sure if you are stunning her or something (via howl bomb?), but since her charge move is her only non-attack move (and that will still be on cooldown), I'm not sure there is an option that allows a non-attack on her racial bonus round.

Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
Alt Brutus and Ruckus. I don't have 2 Iron Starlettes so came up with this strat that also uses 7 rounds.Vapid wrote:

Iron Starlette (non-H/H) (1,2,1)
Sunreaver Micro Sentry (2,2,1)
1. Starlette: Wind-Up, Supercharge, Wind-Up (Brutus dies), Toxic Smoke, swap to Sunreaver
2. Sunreaver: Call Lightning, Haywire
Re: Menagerie Speed Kills
I howl bomb any of the menagerie pets that are singles. Easy peasy.

A original poster was correct that there is an idle round, but made a wrong attribution.Gahtmilch wrote:Per our discussion, I tried various teams and passing the final round. Eleanor does her charging move when its cooldown expires, ergo every eight rounds
(but not sure if stuns do change her mind).
Myself, I use either a nuke moveset of [pet]Iron Starlette[/pet]
or a [pet]Mud Jumper[/pet] with [ability]Bubble[/ability], [ability]Mudslide[/ability] and [ability]Tongue Lash[/ability] –
blocking two first attacks and interlacing the other mentioned abilities.
I always manage to bring her to her damned round, however, sometimes frog dies before it ends. Just bring anything to wait out it.
By the way, unlike other garrison pets and Squirt's minions,
The Beakinator, Eleanor and Stitches Jr. give ~300-450 XP per fight with a hat,
what doesn't look impressively, but with triple bonus still can be interesting.
Just don't use Jumper that time or start with leveling pet and swap to Val'kyr!
