As we spreadsheet-heads know, every pet species has values for Base Health, Base Power, Base Speed, which are used in defining the stats for a pet.
The "default" stats are 8, 8, 8, but many species have a little more of one than another. [pet]Rabbit[/pet], for example, has Base Stats 8, 7, 9, giving all breeds an extra dollop of Speed at the expense of Power.
In nearly all cases, the devs give with one hand what they take away with another. Lose a half-point of Speed? you'll get that half-point back in Power or Health.
Except for 5 species of pets.
Two are special.
One was buffed by mass demand of the playerbase, led by a humanitarian (petanitarian?) activist who had the vision to see that This Pet Should Be Buffed!
And one, I suspect, was an oversight.
Yes, you can look it up, but try to think of all five before you do.
P.S. I saw 5 originally, but thought I could account for one by an error elsewhere. Turns out it was my error, and there really are five.
