Does one get credit for a victory on the Brutal Pet Brawler Achievement if an opponent quits the battle?

Yes. You won the match, so it counts.

Now, I will note that the completion message in PvP is, was, and has always been bugged, and often gives the disappointed sound even when you win. If that's what happened to you, you should still see your win count.

However, there was one time when, I can't remember why, a battle ended in a way I didn't expect, something like the opponent just disappearing or something. That might have been a bug, or a DC, but I think I recall not getting a win. Sorry to be so vague, I only saw it once and wasn't expecting it, but I'm just adding an asterisk to say that sometimes in PvP, glitches happen.

I ask because the number of wins on my Achievement didn't move up when someone leaves and didn't complete the match. I'll try again. It does not seem fair though to the one not leaving to not get credit on the achievement when this happens.

You should still get credit for winning if the opponent forfeits the game. Maybe track the achievement and see if it occurs when you are actively watching it.

If they forfeit within the first minute you don't get any rewards from the battle however.

Considering the length of time in the que (today over 15 mins), even that seems unfair.

I know that if the battle lasts less then a minute, you don't get any character XP if you are levelling an alt, but I'm quite sure your wins go up - and therefore should count towards achievements.

that is NOT true!

The mark for the xp seems to be around ~55 seconds.
When you have a match that last 54secs (2rounds) you dont get toon xp
but when the match lasts 57secs (2rounds) you do get toon xp!

your welcome. yeah thats why I made my addon which shows me afterwards how long a match took.
And I change what I said I just had a match 54 secs (5 rounds) long which gave me xp....

Anyone managed to win a game in under a minute and see if it only applies to forfeits?
