help with pet battle quest please

I read that after you get a pet to lvl 3 you get a quest from aubrey to go fight pet tamers. I have my pet to lvl 3 and havent gotten a quest. I have been away for awhile and I dont have MoP.

From what I've read, it's either a bug or MoP is required to start and do the pet battle quests/quest chain. You should be able to battle wild pets just fine without the expansion, though.

I am sure that it is a bug... I was able to do all the quests before I got mists. I was even able to get (though not actually do) the quest to go battle the Pandaria tamers before getting the expansion.
