Thanks, Anasa. I'm still getting used to the terminology lol. Also, I found the whole post really easy to look at ...I could just scan for the combos that have pets that I actually own. So thanks! :)

I probably sound like a total noob here, but how does this strategy thing work? Like Highland Turkey (1,1,2)
1) Peck and Slicing wind
2) Squack and Gobble strike
3) Food coma and Flock

Every pet has 2 options for each number, so how do I know wich of the 2 is meant?

The codes used refer to which ability you take from each of the three options. So 1,1,2 means you take the top ability in slot 1 and 2 and the bottom ability in slot 3. So in your example you would take Peck, SquackSquawk, and Flock (assuming you copied them top-bottom, of course).

I was thinking that that would be it, but what if the best strategey is to use ability 1 twice in a row?
For example, Peck, Peck, Flock?

Those notes aren't what your actual battle rotation is. When the rotation is included, it's in text below it and we don't refer to the abilities by "number" in those cases.

Each team comp is simply "Take this pet with these abilities" and the notation of (2,1,2) is short hand to keep us typing out each ability's name. So the (1,1,1) is never a rotation or the order of abilities to use.

When there was more in-depth strategy, I included it.

Here's some teams that I use that aren't already listed (that I noticed anyway....), although some are just different pets of the same type and abilities. I have made several teams for a couple of the NPC's that I have encountered more than once where the first team didn't do as well or I messed up the order and didn't feel like starting over.

I don't remember the moves that I used for most.

Sully
  • [pet]Alpine Foxling[/pet] (S/S) [2,2,1)
    [pet]Imperial Eagle Chick[/pet] (S/S) [1,2,2]
    [pet]Zooey Snake[/pet] (H/P) [1,1,1] Anything will do for third since I only needed one hit off it to finish it.
Ion Goldbloom
  • [pet]Disgusting Oozeling[/pet] (H/B) [1,1,1]
    [pet]Warbot[/pet] (P/P) [1,1,1]
    [pet]Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling[/pet] (H/B) [1,1,2]
Lorewalker Cho
  • [pet]Viscidus Globule[/pet] (H/S) [1,1,1]
    [pet]Scourged Whelpling[/pet] (P/S) [2,1,1]
    [pet]Hopling[/pet] (S/S) [1,2,1]
===================

Taran Zhu
  • [pet]Crawling Claw[/pet] (P/S) [1,1,1]
    [pet]Restless Shadeling[/pet] (H/H) [1,2,1]
    [pet]Creepy Crate[/pet] (H/H) [1,1,1]
  • [pet]Devouring Maggot[/pet] (H/H) [2,1,1]
    [pet]Lost of Lordaeron[/pet] (H/H) [2,1,2]
    [pet]Nether Ray Fry[/pet] (H/H) [1,1,1]
Chen Stormstout
  • [pet]Personal World Destoyer[/pet] (P/P) [1,2,1]
    [pet]Dun Morogh Cub[/pet] (H/P) [1,2,1]
    [pet]Dancing Water Skimmer[/pet] (H/H) [1,1,2]
Wrathion
  • [pet]Arctic Hare[/pet] (S/S) [2,1,2]
    [pet]Tiny Bog Beast[/pet] (H/H) [1,2,1]
    [pet]Anubisath Idol[/pet] (H/H) [1,2,1]
===================

Wise Mari
  • [pet]Gilnean Raven[/pet] (S/S) [2,2,1]
    [pet]Spawn of Onyxia[/pet] (P/P) [2,1,1]
    [pet]Shore Crab[/pet] (H/H) [2,2,2]
Blingtron
  • [pet]Emperor Crab[/pet] (H/H) [2,2,2]
    [pet]Core Hound Pup[/pet] (H/P) [2,1,2]
    [pet]Spirit of Summer[/pet] (B/B) [1,1,1]
Kiryn
  • [pet]Tiny Sporebat[/pet] (H/H) [2,1,2]
    [pet]Crimson Shale Hatchling[/pet] (H/S) [1,2,2]

This is an excellent and helpful thread. I really don't want to see it fade into the back pages here, as it is clearer and has better formatting than some of the threads currently on the front page.

I am hoping this one sticks around and gets updated as needed. Thank you for all the work that went into this!

I have great success on Taran Zhu using a [S/S] Death Adder Hatchling and a Stitched Pup + Carry pet. I was using this team to level some of my 20+ pets since you still get 1200-1600 exp with the safari hat and the tourny is resettable.

Next time he is up, I'll try and iron out an actual list of attacks/moves, but the movesets were

Death Adder: Poison Fang, Puncture Wound, Blinding Poison
Stitched Pup: Diseased Bite, Howl, Consume Corpse

I lead off with the Death Adder and time blinding poison so it gets the stun on the first monk. The death adder can usually kill almost both of the first two monks (and with RNG in your favor, both). When it finally dies, I swap to carry, then to stitched pup for cleanup.

I wish I had a better strat typed out, but didn't think to write it all out at the time. You might try it as well (the next time he is up) and see if it is worthwhile for your list.

I can't wait to see how the undercard this week works out with Murkalot. I know for a fact he'll make my Zao team that much better for sure.

I label skills 1-6 first slot is 1 or 2 second slot is 3 or 4 third slot is 5 or 6
I name my teams in Pet Battle Teams to help me remember the order if it’s important
While you are battleing you can hit rename team in Pet Battle Teams and the whole name will show up in the top center of your screen and you can leave it up for the entire battle so you can see the moves and the order

For Sully Team name = Sully1 1=2553 2=51115 3=462
Sully1 means this is my #1 Sully team
1 is a Scalded Basilisk Hatchling HS breed
2 is a Anodized Robo Cub H/P breed
3 is a Crow SS breed

All of the Basilisk moves are 100% Robo cubs moves are 95% and 100% and if you miss a couple times you are still fine

When Basilisk uses 2 Crystal Prison Stuns Socks Sully switches to Monte and 5 Thrash gets a free hit Thrash again Monte borrows Basilisk uses 3 Feign Death and avoids the hit and you auto switch to the Robo Cub 5 Maul kills Monte if bad rng 1 Bite will kill him in comes Socks Use Robo Cub till dead using 1 bite or 5 Maul when Maul is off CD. If Socks kills the Robo cub swith to Basilisk and 5 Thrash until Basilisk dies. When the crow comes in use 4 Call Darkness with Call Darkness up 6 Nocturnal Strike is 100% one or two 2 Alpha Strikes and Rikki will be dead.

For Dr. Ion Goldbloom Team name = Dr. I#1 1=5322s 2=51311 3=52222
the little s stands for switch
1 is a Emerald Whelpling HS breed
2 is a Son of Animus PP breed
3 is a Scourged Whelpling HH breed

Screamer his first pet uses lift off so the Emerald Whelp uses 5 Tranquility so the move is not wasted then 3 moonfire 2 Emerald Bite when Emerald Bite hits this time or the next Screamer will use Feign Death (when he goes below 50% health) so after Emerald Bite hits he switches to Trike so now you s switch (notice how that s is in the name to help you remember to switch) to Son of Animus Trike is irritating but you will beat him use 5 plate this round then 1 Metal Fist then 3 Siphon Anima then 1 Metal Fist until 5 Extra Plating is off cool down then 3 Siphon and back to Metal fist. When Trike dies Screamer comes in and because he is less than 50% health he Feign Death again So when Trike dies switch to the Scourged Whelpling and use 5 Plagued Blood then 2 tail sweep him till he’s dead Sreamer comes back in 2 tail sweep till one of you is dead if you die the Emerald Whelp will finish him off.

Lorewalker Cho Team name LrWalker 1=52.42td 2=461 3=322
the . stands for repeat until he’s dead then on their next pet use 4 the td stands for till dead
1 is a Sprit Darter Hatchling SS breed
2 is a Twilight Spider HP breed
3 is a Scourged Whelpling HH breed and yes in my opinion you should have 2 (actually 3) of these

The name of this team pretty much walks you through the fight

See a couple posts above for the naming and labeling convention I use

Taran Zhu
Team name Taran1 1=5 2=6s 3=632262 1=5 2=6
1=Murkalot
2=Fossilized Hatchling
3=Fossilized Hatchling

Yes a Murkalot and two Fossilized Hatchlings but with this team and these moves I think this is 100%
Murk does his 5 RI Hatchling does his 6 Bonestorm and then gets stunned so s stands for switch to the next Hatchling and do 6 Bonestorm next turn 3 Ancient Blessing because he will Feign Death then 2 Bone Bite he will stun you just stay and Bone Bite again he will either punch or Rampage it doesn’t really matter 6 Bonestorm will be off CD so use it and just Bone Bite till dead bring in the last Hatchling and 6 Bonestorm when you can should finish them off

Chen Stormstout
Team name Chen1 1=425R 2=51 3=451
1=Grasslands Cottontail HS Breed
2=Kun-Lai Runt PP Breed
3=Lil’Bad Wolf PS Breed

Bring in the Rabbit 4 Dodge, 2 Flurry 5 Burrow if Burrow does not hit surrender and start over hence R for Repeat if necessary if Burrow hits then 2 Flurry 4 Dodge 2 Flurry Chirps will come in and 2 Flurry till dead Bring in the Runt and 5 Rampage and 1 Thrash till dead Lil’Bad Wolf is faster so 4 Dodge then 5 Howl then 1 Claw till you win

Wrathion
Team name Wraith1 1=1145 2=E145
1=Red Cricket
2=Flayer Youngling SS Breed
3=Flayer Youngling SS Breed

Yes two SS Flayer Younglings
The Cricket should kill Cindy Start with 1 Skitter then 1 Skitter then 4 Cocoon Strike will block Ice Tomb then 1 Skitter to kill Cindy Cindy will cast Blistering cold in the undead move so use 5 natures touch then 1 Skitter till dead the Flayers will destroy the dragons just equip, hence E for equip meaning the move order is not specified, 145 use 5 kick when off CD unless you need 4 deflection to block Elementium Bolt use 4 deflection to block anything strong like Elementium Bolt and Blitz otherwise.

See a couple posts above for the naming and labeling convention I use

Wise Mari
Team Name: WiseM#1 SOED 1=254 2=611ifSW4 3=223
Pandaren Air Spirit 254
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling 614
Legs 236

SOED means switch on enemy death
Pandaren Air Spirit 2 Wild Winds 5 Cyclone 4 Soothing Mists 2,2,2 Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling 6 decoy 1 Breath unless Soul Ward is up, hence ifSW4 in which case use 4 Thunderbolt till Spirus dies unless 4 Thunderbolt (100%) will kill him in which case use it for the back row damage Bring in Legs 2 Pump 2 Pump but make sure it won’t be missed because of dive 3 surge of power if legs dies Mechanical Pandaren and drop 6 Decoy

Blingtron 4000
Team Name: Bling1PTD 1=!531 2=5114 3=451
Spawn of G’nathus
Spirebound Crab PP breed
Fel Flame HP breed

PTD means play till dead in other words you never swap you just bring in the next guy when you die
! Means the move order is critical
Spawn of G’nathus and 5 Thunderbolt next 3 Dive to avoid Au’s Gold Rush 1 Swallow until Au is dead then 5 Thunderbolt When Spirebound Crab comes in 5 Shell Shield right away then 1 Snap until you need healing which is 4 Healing Wave he is faster than you so 5 Shell Shield when your Shield has 1 round left The crab is so good on these last two pets that sometimes he takes them both out if the Fel Flame makes it in just 4 Scorched Earth and then 5 Conflagrate and 1 Burn if you have to.

Shademaster Kiryn
Team Name: Kiry1 1=!3111116s 2=642->ttg 3=6131
Kun-Lai Runt PS breed
Blossoming Ancient
Darkmoon Zeppelin

! Means the move order is critical
Kun-Lai Runt start with 3 Mangle then 1 Thrash over and over until Nairn’s Giants Blood is off cool down you are faster so cast 6 Deep Freeze to stun him you actually don’t want to kill him because Deep Freeze will stun him and he will switch which gives you a free switch to your Blossoming Ancient hence the s after the 6 which means switch (if Deep Freeze misses just keep doing 1 Thrash till he dies then bring in the Blossoming Ancient) He will bring in Stormoen you bring in the Blossoming Ancient he goes first and will cast lightning you cast 6 Sunlight then 4 Photosynthesis then 2 Ironbark keep casting Ironbark until his lightning and your Sunlight are off cool down at which time you cast 6 Sunlight then put 4 Photosynthesis back up then 2 Ironbark (if Deep Freeze missed you will most likely die bring the runt back in and cast 1 Thrash till the runt dies and follow the Darkmoon Zeppelin moves takes longer but still works) leave the Blossoming Ancient in until the turrets are gone hence ->ttg The Sunlight’s should have killed Nairn in the back row if not leave the Blossoming Ancient in a little longer till he is dead also Then bring in your Darkmoon Zeppelin to kill Summer cast 6 Decoy and 3 Bombing Run when his Dodge is off cool down otherwise cast 1 Missile

I am having a lot of trouble beating Taran Zhu with this team:

-Nexus Whelpling (1/2/2)
-Fossilized Hatchling (2/1/2)
-Nether Ray Fry (*/*/1)

What am I missing?
