LeCraft is looking for feedback from beta testers on the garrison pet dailies and trainer battles.
If you're on the beta and can level your garrison to level 3 (I've heard 2 might even unlock the pet menagerie plot), you'll start seeing the trainers show up. I'm not sure about the dailies. Building the garrison is buggy and somewhat time consuming (you have to quest and level), but if you want to preview the new pet battles it's worth it!
In any case, please test out the battles if you're able to and provide some constructive comments so the developers and refine the encounters even more. I'm looking at you pet battle theorycrafters! Your feedback on the new battles is probably invaluable to developers.
Let's help ensure that WoD pet stuff is as fun, interesting, and bug-free as possible.

I don't have the beta, but I would have helped. Besides, I'm sure that I would be one of the people who would get stuck in a bug and be unable to progress further.

Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (pet dailies)
I haven't had any luck getting my garrison upgraded. If I could I'd definitely be working on the dailies.
Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (pet dailies)
Not on beta, but here's the things that look like they could be troublesome:
Idol of Decay : how will Dark Rebirth interact with the UD passive? This seems guaranteed to produce strange results -- my best guess is that the UD passive will override Dark Rebirth and autokill him, making Dark Rebirth useless.
Carroteye and Carrotus Maximus: two of his abilities give him a buff, and his third ability dispels himself.
King Floret/Queen Floret : I'm going to assume these come as a pair. If this fight is scripted, it will be easy. If not scripted, then RI+Fist of the Forest will be 1512 damage that is only reliably avoidable by Deflection/Ethereal.
Stitches Jr and Quintessence of Light look like they may be very tough, especially if they get a team buff like Rukus/Brutus. Stitches Jr can do 965 AoE dmg per turn with Enrage+Cleave. Quintessence has 390 speed with the flying bonus, and Cauterize/Heat Up are brutal with 439 power and the high speed.

And Feign Death/Fade I guess.Poofah wrote: King Floret/Queen Floret : I'm going to assume these come as a pair. Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (pet dailies)
Yes, Feign Death too. That actually might be necessary, because in theory they would be able to do this:
Queen: RI (swap)
King: Fist
King: RI (swap)
Queen: Fist
In which case Ethereal/Deflection would still be cooling down from the first Fist when the 2nd hits you--so you'd have to use FD on the first to bring up a fresh pet with a priority avoidance move. Or maybe the magic passive could be effective as well, and then you could just eat the damage (e.g. maybe you could use some combo of Legs/Visc Glob/oozes).
This fight is really going to come down to whether it's scripted. If we know what turns they're going to RI, then we can use regular avoidance moves and it will feel pretty easy. If it's not scripted, it's going to take a very carefully constructed team.

I am very much stuck here. If anyone has any advice let me know...damn plan vendor has no plans...In particular let me know if I need to get an alchemist to unlock his garrison or to get to level 93 (heard romors about both)Kpb321 wrote:I haven't had any luck getting my garrison upgraded. Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (pet dailies)
I posted it on the other thread but it seems to be that you need a small build before you can upgrade your garrison to level 2. The easy way to do that is to get to 93 and then the plan vendor actually sells you plans. I know I heard chat about people getting the alchemy lab plans as a drop while the cap was still 92 so I don't think 93 is required, just the easiest way to get access to the plans.
Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (pet dailies)
I don't have my garrison to lvl 3 yet, however because they didn't import my pets, I'm not even bothering with pet battles, because I am NOT going to level and catch and re-unlock all that crap all over again. Screw that...devs want feedback, they'd better import our stuff. If they can do it for everything else, they can do it for pets too. Or at the very least, do like they did with mounts....give you one of everything possible. Really, really poor planning on their part

On the copy character screen there's a copy account data or something like that option. When you do that it will copy all your pets over.
Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (pet dailies)
I used that...my pets didn't copy. Looks like another bug I need to report on the beta forums then.Kpb321 wrote:On the copy character screen there's a copy account data or something like that option. When you do that it will copy all your pets over.

I used it a while ago and it worked for me at that time.
Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (pet dailies)
Does anyone know how to upgrade your garrison past level 1. I haven't found any plans, so I feel stuck. I'd like to try out the pet battle stuff.

Kpb321 mentioned the possible solution.Jerebear wrote:Does anyone know how to upgrade your garrison past level 1. I haven't found any plans, so I feel stuck. I'd like to try out the pet battle stuff.
Level your character to 93, unlock the vendor that sells blueprints (for alliance it's the gnome next to the architect table), and purchase whatever plans are unlocked and available to you. Build/complete as many plots as you can and then you should be able to upgrade your Town Hall to 2.
At level 94, more blueprints will unlock on the vendor. Build whatever you can, and then you should be able to upgrade your Town Hall to level 3. The menagerie shows up at that point, and for some the battle pet trainers will start appearing.
-----------
In regards to the garrison trainers, thanks [profile]Poofah[/profile] and [profile]Vek[/profile] for the heads up. I'll keep an eye out for those teams.
I've only seen three trainers so far, but I'm guessing that most (if not all) single/double encounters will have a similar team-wide buff (or some other gimmick) as the Rukus and Brutus team.

Thanks! I totally misread that post. I need to slow down when I read!

Re: Beta testers: feedback wanted (garrison pet dailies)
Probably so. Wowdb has several of these buffs listed but I can only guess which team gets which. Stitches seems likely to have Iron Thread, I think there's a 3-robot team with Roboflauge, Eleanor will probably have Unnatural Appetite, and there's a few more.Quintessence wrote:I've only seen three trainers so far, but I'm guessing that most (if not all) single/double encounters will have a similar team-wide buff (or some other gimmick) as the Rukus and Brutus team.
There's 3 pets that look likely to be solo fights: Stitches Jr, Quintessence, and Beakinator. I have a bad feeling that these will be trivial to beat with just Water Spirit + Chrominius (the standard Geyser/Whirlpool/swap/Howl/Surge of Power). The Stitches buff is not enough to prevent this, for example, but possibly the others have better buffs.

As far as I know, EU players still can't copy their toons over. But! There might be a chance that you can use the Copy Account Data and get your collection on the beta.Drudatz wrote:I have a beta access but as char copy for EU is disabled last time I checked I didnt bother? Just as a heads up if you aren't aware already, there will be a character wipe tonight and a level 100 PVE and PVP server coming up for premade lvl 100 toons. This should allow more beta testers access to the menagerie in the garrison, yay!
