I've just been curious about this. I personally have 23 coins, just collecting dust. I run the tourny just for the easy valor now. My collection is level 25, so I no longer need pet treats. Still got a few uncommon pets, but I cash in bag stones for flawless, so I don't need to buy flawless stones. Any chance these could buy something new in the future, or are they just junk now?

My guess would be junk, mostly since each premium coin or object gets replaced with each expansion.

Stopped doing it after I got all the pets, no point IMHO

I'm just sitting on them for now. I don't need the stones or exp food right now but the exp food might be handy once new pets are available in WoD.

I have only beaten it one time so far. Can't find a guide that works well enough. I have all the pets needed but RNG has defeated me all 15 times I have tried it.

We'll have plenty more pets to level & stone in WoD. Why not stock up on big treats or stones w/ those coins for the Xpac? That's what I've been doing, certainly can't hurt!

I buy the Pet Treats since I already have all of the pets and I don't need the stones or bandages.

I made 20x 50% xp treats before I got bored.

Plus as it seems, the Pet dailies in WoD will award a new currency which you can buy pet stuff with. Including xp treats.

It's hard to say what will stay in WoD. Lots of things come and go. I've been stockpiling around 20ish coins so I can buy some 50% pet treats if needed. They are also handy for extra stones if not.

I had been turning in the coins for the 50% exp treat, so I have 24 of them saved. Then I stopped in case they are ever used for anything else, and now I have 9 coins saved up as well.

Dont count on Blizzard making past content relevant in future expansions. The celestial tournament is done for.

Blizzard have consistently always made new factions and currencies for upcomming expansions to keep people from stockpiling to buy special goods or having the reputations.

Only nod the CT gets, is the megaachievement with the Stuffed Elekk plushie.

It's still a stable +1 50% treat per week in Beta atm (and an alternate source of stones). With no info on how those will be doled out with the new pet battle currency, they might still be valuable as "extras". I agree Blizz does try to make old things less relevant, but they also have a habit of doing it a little slow sometimes. As I play through the beta, hopefully they will unlock the new currency so we can see how often we'll be able to buy treats/stones, etc. One nice thing that hasn't changed in beta yet is the price of a flawless stone is the same as the price for a 50% treat (1 currency each), so that is at least better for stones which are 3x the price of the treat at the CT.

I still do it for fast vp and to by flawless stones - seeing all the wod pets u cant have enough....
