Something to consider: PBT hasn't been updated since last year and the author has been MIA. It currently doesn't work on Beta (lua errors). I don't know if the Beta API changes go in for tomorrow's patch or not, but if they do, then PBT may not work and you could lose your teams.

You at the very least should make a copy of your PBT lua file in the saved variables directory, but you might also want to consider some backup teams addons incase PBT doesn't work.

I use Rematch (works in Beta and can copy PBT teams with an options menu button), but there are probably other options as well.

EDIT: PetBattleMaster has been updated recently, so it may be on option as well. I don't know the beta or PTR status of it though.


Even if PBT still works, there is the expansion launch to consider. So far no one has openly stated they are updating it for WoD.

If someone has PTR, might be worth checking to see if PBT works on the PTR.

I did some digging into the code and I think I solved most issues (especially the change of the GUID: see http://wowpedia.org/GUID).

This is workign on live, you are fantastic!

Agramonia you are a GODSENT!!! Thank you SOO much! It works PERFECT on live and all my teams remained intact. I did not have to set them up again.

EDIT I am getting a LUA error when I click on teams that will not go away and I cannot close the window.

LOL! I totally forgot about copy/paste action.

I just tried this and it still didnt add the pet battle teams tab to my journal and the revive pet button is greyed out instead...am i doing something wrong?

I can't get mine to work. The / commands don't do anything. When I click on "interface - addons" it's there but blank. I tried using the command: /pbt attach and it doesn't respond.
