I'm hoping this is something simple... Is there a way to turn off the names above their heads during a battle? I've turned off the names while walking around, but would like to just see the pets while in a battle. I know who's there. I picked the team

Interface > Names > Critters and companions, uncheck it?

I don't know actually, because I've never had pet names appear when I battle. I personally leave all names unchecked all the time, I don't like seeing names above things, lol. I'm weird

I'll double check that there isn't another checkbox for me to uncheck, but as far as I know I have everything unchecked. All critters and pets have no names when I run around but as soon as I initiate a battle I see three purple names above my pets stating their name and <peppercat's companion> and the three names above the opponents.

Now that I know it is possible, I'll start from scratch and rule out all the addons and other checkboxes if there are any.

Select something other than All NPCs . Personally I prefer Quest NPCs .

yup, that did it. Thanks and glad it was a simple fix. I actually like seeing less names in the world too.
