Pet Battle experience cap with triple exp event

Ok just need to know if anyone knows for sure if here is some sort of stupid experience cap on pet battles during the event. There is no point in me spending tickets on the darkmoon fair hat buff (10%) and buying a bunch of pet treats (25% plus 50%) and also wearing my safari hat (10%) if the triple exp by itself during the event is already hitting a cap. So I read they do stack but is there a cap making it all totally unnecessary?

As far as I'm aware, there's no exp cap on pet battles. It would kind of make the entire event pointless if they put a cap on the exp since the entire event is about getting more exp, so I would say that it's highly unlikely that you'll hit an exp cap during the event.

On the PTR, I did ashlei with everything but the darkmoon tophat and got the experience that I should have, uncapped. For live we'll have to see, but PTR was fine.

Yep! But obviously only while the fair is active. And the hat buff ticks down even while logged out so if you use it, make sure your able to play for the duration of the buff or else you will waste it.

Hello everyone,
I did some MoP trainer-fights before the daily reset.
Here's the data for some of the fights which I wrote down:
Safari Hat (10%) + Pet Treat (50%) + Lesser Pet Treat (25%) + Sign of the Critter Event Buff
Fight #1:
Pet Level before the Fight: 1 (0/50 XP)
Exp gained: 13.956 XP
Pet Level after the Fight: ~19.5 (766/1540 XP)
Fight #2:
Pet Level before the Fight: 19 (0/1540 XP)
Exp gained: 10.695 XP
Pet Level after the Fight: 25
Safari Hat (10%) + Sign of the Critter Event Buff
Fight #3:
Pet Level before the Fight: ~19.5 (766/1540 XP)
Exp gained: 9929 XP
Pet Level after the Fight: 25
// Edit: If i did the math correct (using the formula found in this thread http://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8829) there should be no cap, but I was wasting quite some exp with those lv 19 pets.

Max exp I get:
1 lvl with cap+dm cap+2 food buffs - 14319 exp, 19 lvl, 75% till 20 lvl
11 lvl with cap+dm cap+2food buffs - 18762 exp, 24 lvl, 40% till 25 lvl

Max exp against wild pets 25 lvl:
1 lvl - 2864 exp, 9 lvl.
11 lvl - 3753 exp, 14 lvl.

With Pandaria pet trainer fights, a level 14 goes to 25.
(with both pet treats, darkmoon hat and safari hat)

Good to know! Other than a handful of new acquisitions, my lowest pets are level 13. Looking forward to maxing out quite a few this weekend.

That's with both pet treats btw.
But even with only the safari hat you can go 1 -> 17.7 -> 25 with only two Pandaria pet trainer fights

Is it worth it to do PvP battles for XP? or is that too much trouble? Should I just try to level fighting wild pets? or fly all over the world looking for dailies? I'm just not sure of the best way to get the most XP from this event

The dailies with a full set of buffs and a few level stones will net you one max level pet per trainer. Good way to hammer out a bunch of level ones since you can hit almost all of wod and mop trainers in an hour. After that grinding an easy spot with solid team is the next best option. Don't know if erris's xp been fixed, but we can hope for squirt as a daily during this.

Erris has been fixed for a bit now, and there won't be any Squirt during this particular event till November. http://battlepetroundup.com/pet-events-calendar/
With just the safari hat, Erris gets a level 16 to 23.

Is it that the Pandaren Trainers give more xp than other lvl 25 trainers? Because Im not up to Pandaren yet and was doing my round and the highest I got with both pet treats was 3750xp. When my pet treat expired and I didnt notice for the next battle I stil got like 3500xp there abouts. So I decided not to waste anymore pet treats for the rest of the circuit.

Were they both the same level at the start? You get different XP on same trainers if your pet is a different level. I think somewhere like 11 or 12 you technically get the most XP. This weekend bonus you shouldn't use treats when doing trainers because you can max a pet with 2 trainers with just safari hat. But if you wanna grind out some pets that are 23 or 24 then using treats might be of some use.

Level 10 and 11 carry pets get the most exp vs level 25 opponents. Level_for_Max_experience = (opponent_level - 4)/2

The pandaria trainers have a x5 multiplier
Tamer Specific Bonus: This bonus is based on the tamer. It doesn't appear to have any correlation to enemy pet rarety (epic vs rare pets have the same bonus for some sets of tamers for example). It may have some correlation to the Tamer's NPC level (not the pet level) as there are some trends, but there isn't enough data currently available to verify that. This bonus is denoted as T.
T = 1.0 when fighting wild pet battles (non-tamer battles)
T = 2.0 when fighting any Celestial Tournament tamer
T = 2.5 when fighting Zunta, Julia Stevens, Dagra the Fierce, or Old MacDonald
T = 3.0 when fighting any other Vanilla WoW tamer, Outlands Tamer, Northrend Tamer, or Cataclysm Tamer
T = 5.0 when fighting most WoD tamers, any Pandaria tamer, the Feasel brothers, and Little Tommy Newcomer.

You don't even need Darkmoon Hat for that..
My lowest pets are all level 14 and they reach 25, with only 2x treats plus safari hat..
