Apparently the stars align in an amazing way, as when the 11th anniversary starts,
two other things -- important for pet collectors -- do happen simultaneously:
There is still a week of Sign of the Critter and also, Squirt arrives to the Menagerie!

Make some shopping if AH and guildies are gracious
and remember about ending the PvP quest before Monday to not bother yourself!

Estimated XP to gain per battle is around 8.5k XP for unbuffed 10-11 lvl.

I'm going whole hog to bust out a ton of 25s. I'm clearing my day of everything, and I'm gonna try for at least 40 from 1-25 using the broom/xt strat.

Is it on the same day for both EU and US?

We're referring to the Garrison pet battle - Squirt and her team of 3 pets. Her battle is the only trainer battle inside the Garrison that awards a decent amount of pet experience (equivalent to that of Cata and Wotlk trainers). You can battle her team repeatedly for the day that she visits.

Her visit is special this month as it lands during the Pet Battle Bonus Event, where pet experience gained is significantly increased.

Stacking the Safari Hat, pet experience treats, access to unlimited battles with Squirt (for that day), and the bonus experience from the in-game event, it's an excellent time to efficiently and conveniently level as many pets as you can.

Why the raw ones? Because who would spend the buffs (besides the hat maybe) to overexp a lot?

Oh thank you for this! I was hoping it would happen. This might be the weekend I max out all of my pets!

For those who need help beating Squirt - here's the best strat I have found:

Enchanted Broom
Weebomination
Leveling pet (can be level 1, takes no damage)

Turn 1 - Sweep
Turn 2 - Swap to leveler
Turn 3 - Swap to Weebom
Turn 4 - Cleave.
Continue cleaving until Weebom dies.
Swap to Broom, batter until Puzzle is dead.

100% success rate. A single battle gets a pet from 1 to 10 (On a normal day with hat.) So add in treats, hat, and the onus weekend....!!!

Here is a second strategy for Squirt, and it's the one I used the last time I got to sit down on Squirt day and level. It makes each battle pretty fast, and you can usually get two fights in before you need to heal. But it is faster than the Weebom strat, mainly because the Weebom's cleave animation takes so long. I'll admit unlike the Weebom strat the XT one isn't 100%. I'd say that every battle can be won, but the following play by play can get a bit screwy. The issue is if XT does too much damage to Puzzle on the second Tantrum then Puzzle does his little escape trick. From this point the battle shifts from the strategy below, but is still easy to take care of, it just takes a few more extra rounds. I definitely recommend trying both the Weebom and XT strats and seeing which one fits you best.


1: Enchanted Broom (2,2,2)
2: Lil' XT (1,2,2)
3: Leveling Pet

Round 1: Sweep
Round 2: Switch to Lil' XT
Round 3: Heartbroken
Round 4-6: Tantrum (Puzzle dies)
Round 7: Switch to Carry Pet
Round 8: Switch to Enchanted Broom
Round 9: Wind-Up
Round 10: Sweep
Round 11: Wind-Up

To split EXP between two carries (for example, to avoid overexping) you can use either:
I) a [pet]Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling [/pet]
([ability]Breath[/ability], [ability]Thunderstorm[/ability], [ability]Decoy[/ability])
or
II) a P/S, S/B or S/S [pet]Molten Hatchling[/pet]
([ability]Leech Life[/ability], [ability]Cauterize[/ability], [ability]Brittle Webbing[/ability])

Of course you should be careful with Tyri's AoE and not to bring novelties into the battle.

ID of rounds might vary dependably on some RNG and final MPD's HP.

Oh man I almost forgot about this, glad I checked these forums today. Time to grind some long neglected pet levels.
Maybe I'll even make a dent in that crazy Draenor Pet Brawler achievement.

The events last until weekly reset.

Did they change your reset day? o.O It's been a long time since I've played on EU servers.

Week buffs last from the start of Wednesday to the 11 PM on Monday (23:00).
There might be some inconsistences due to realm resets etc but not in a big scale.

I haven't resubbed yet but even from my lowbie char I can see that indeed events do end every Monday, one hour before the midnight.

Still, US has one hour more than us (no pun intended), unless time zoning makes it more complicated (I doubt that). ;P

Is broom/weeb faster than weeb/MPD on non-level 1s?

Every time I have leveled off Squirt I usually start with my leveler. Then swap to Weeb, cleave and cleanup with MPD.

Can anyone tell me what 1 and 2 battles would do to level 1s and level 8s level? I usually just use stones to finish getting pets to 25.

Without buffs:

Fresh L1 + 6525 = L13 with 840 EXP
L8 (from 0 to 594 EXP) + 8415 = from L16 with 1155 EXP to L17 with 499 EXP

With a hat, approximately you'd just move the goal levels by 1 forward.

A US poster also tried to find an optimal solution for the buff management;
however, with the overexping from one side and the stones from another it seems to be slightly overthought!
