Snails: Power vs Speed?

I have a pair of Snails at level 5
Shimmershell Snail and
Rusty Snail
The Shimmershell =
Health - 438
Power - 61
Speed - 39
Rusty =
Health - 425
Power - 58
Speed - 42
I'm leaning towards leveling the Shimmershell, but wanted to make sure that wasn't a bad call.
Thanks in advance for your input!

By the looks of it you are comparing a breed 7/17 H/P Shimmershell with a 3/13 B/B Rusty Snail. Breed 3/13 has the least attributes of any breed so they are usually less desired. So I would go with the Shimmershell.
I took a look over the 5 snails in the game and tried to find the best snail for each attribute.
If you favor health a Breed 6/16 H/H Shimmershell or upgraded Scooty the snail is what you want(at 1969 health they tie with pebble and emerald turtle for the highest health pet in the game).
If you favor speed a breed 5/15 S/S Rapana Whelk is faster than any of the other snails by a fair margin.
If you favor power ideally it would be a 4/14 P/P snail but it doesn't looks like there is a snail in that breed so the highest power snail would be a 7/17 H/P Shimmershell with 305 P at level 25 next highest would a 3/13 snail of any type with 293.

Wondering this as well. Caught a rare rapana whelk that's breedID 3/13 and an uncommon one that was breedID 5.

The 7/17 shimmershell is indeed the good one. Absorb lets you convert power directly into health, in addition to doing more damage to the enemy.
For the Rapana Whelk, the breed 3/13 isn't quite as good as the breed 12, but the difference isn't major. I leveled my breed 3, he's perfectly good but has been replaced by the shimmershell 7. The breed 5 is pretty far behind any of these options.

Excellent, thanks for the suggestions and the full explanation, I'm still working out the breed thing, and it's nice to have it broken down!
