whose Base Stats don't add to 24?

As we spreadsheet-heads know, every pet species has values for Base Health, Base Power, Base Speed, which are used in defining the stats for a pet.

The "default" stats are 8, 8, 8, but many species have a little more of one than another. [pet]Rabbit[/pet], for example, has Base Stats 8, 7, 9, giving all breeds an extra dollop of Speed at the expense of Power.

In nearly all cases, the devs give with one hand what they take away with another. Lose a half-point of Speed? you'll get that half-point back in Power or Health.

Except for 5 species of pets.

Two are special.

One was buffed by mass demand of the playerbase, led by a humanitarian (petanitarian?) activist who had the vision to see that This Pet Should Be Buffed!

And one, I suspect, was an oversight.

Yes, you can look it up, but try to think of all five before you do.

P.S. I saw 5 originally, but thought I could account for one by an error elsewhere. Turns out it was my error, and there really are five.

Lordy, yup, [pet]Zoom[/pet] is one!

He has Zero speed (commonly represented as very small negative, since zero tends to give calculation problems.)
His stats are 9.5, 8.5, 0 - adding up to 18 instead of 24.

Actually while on a roll I'm going to have a guess at one of the othets. Is it the [pet]elekk plushie[/pet] with its huge health pool?

The Plushie's 13, 8, 6 adds up to 27, though that Power seems a bit wasted ....

Yep not a clue what the other two might be but very interested to find out.

Elekk has boosted stats but is useless.

Cinder kitten and Tiny blue carp have boosted stats too, no idea why.

Peddlefeet, and Zoom (0 speed) have odd stats.
Peddlefeet has 8.005 in power in the data, but it translates to 260 power ingame at 25 rare. Which is the same as, for instance, a S/S Slithering Brownscale which has 8 in power in the data, and also ends ingame with 260 power. So I would disregard it.
Zoom has 0 in speed, but even if he had 6 base speed he would be only faster than the Elekk, and as fast as other snails and H/H spirit crab.

Does that tiny difference for Peddle feet actually have any effect at all in battles? Like Doonge says at level 25 the stats look completely consistent with an S/S breed 8/8/8 pet.

Yes, [pet]Cinder Kitten[/pet] and [pet]Tiny Blue Carp[/pet] are the other two who are actually "overpowered", though that small half-point isn't enough to matter.

Lordy, I'm not in game to check, but I doubt it. The buff increases Peddleteet's calculated power at Blue 25
Power = (BasePower + (PowerPts / 10)) * Level * Quality
from 276.250 to 276.4125, that is, about 1/1700th.

Not enough to show up, even without intermediate rounding.
