It appears that with the release of 8.1, Ashlei is no more. This nice girl, that has helped us raise or Battle Pets for so long, has become part of the scenery.

She is there, but the daily is gone.

She was an effective way to level pets from 1 to 14. Thanks Blizzard!

And now, there is really no reason to return to Draenor.

Don't give up so fast! Lots of tamers are AWOL or not offering quests. It's a bug, and a Blue post says Blizzard are investigating.

Trainer Aki in Pandaria has the same problem. I briefly wondered if bug was limited to trainers starting with letter "A" (which of course made no sense) but then couldn't get battle from Hyuna in Jade Forest either. For me at least, rest of Pandaria trainers seem to be working normally as well as all the Draenor ones except Ashleigh. Some players aren't getting menagerie dailies and the weekly but others get them just fine.

It's a known bug and we've been told Blizzard is "investigating". As usual with major patch, lot of problems and not sure how high a priority the devs give pet battles but it will probably be fixed reasonably soon.

It's not just pet battles. It's a daily quest issue in general. Blingtron 6k was affected.

Today's Hotfix notes say this has been fixed but requires a server restart. I don't know if they did that already.

Apparently haven't done that already because same trainers still not giving daily quests. Hoping after reset tomorrow morning we'll see all our old friends again.
