I can't speak to any announcements, but if I were levelling pets, I'd be more excited that Snail Fight! is up today during this Pet Week.

The virtue of Squirt is that the day is known in advance, so you can plan your schedule around it.

But there are always some Legion Family Tamers up during Pet Week, and I would take advantage of them.
