I have had the misfortune of missing a few times with darkness up... Am I missing something? They were against elementals each time, but shouldnt I still be affected by darkness?

Were they misses or dodges?

It's not the Darkness effect that causes it to always hit, it's the opponent being blinded by the Darkness. Elementals will not be blinded by the Darkness, since it's a weather effect.

I tend to field a crow a lot. I've seen Nocturnal Strike miss (not be dodged) against non-elemental pets too. I'm wondering if it's a 100% hit chance attack (which would seldom miss, but it would sometimes due to the base miss chance) other than an actual always hits. Dunno.

My understanding is that the chance to hit is set to 100% before the debuff from the Darkness is applied, resulting in a net chance to hit of 90%. Would be nice if the tooltip was a little less misleading.

This makes sense, thank you.
