Upon leveling a pet up to level 3, you will be automatically given a quest to talk to Audrey Burnhep. This will allow you to start upon the questline. Defeating each trainer (and turning in their quest) rewards you with XP?, cash, and a Sack of Pet Supplies.

Battle Pet Trainers: Eastern Kingdoms

All of the following trainers have Rare quality pets. Defeating all 5 of them (and turning in the quest) will get you a reward of gold and a Sack of Pet Supplies. Each time you defeat one of them, you will get the Pet Recovery debuff, which will not allow you to battle any other Master Pet Tamers until the 5 min. (or you die) duration wears off. This does not appear to stop you from being able to battle a Grand Master.

Defeating the Grand Master will get you a reward of gold and a Sack of Pet Supplies. It will also open daily quests for the Kalimdor (well, just the 2nd-tier masters and the grand master). Additionally, you can get "Battle Pet Trainers: Outlands" from Audrey Burnhep / Varzok.

can we have any info on the <title here> text to look for when searching for the master trainers? or doesn't anyone know about them yet? I've been looking around a few zones i think could have the master trainers/tamers in them, no luck yet but hopefully the new patch adds them into the game.

Keep in mind that these master trainers/tamers will need to be accessible to both horde and alliance players and the npc will most likely be at a neutral hub like booty bay.

There is a trainer in Stormwind, she is near the Cataclysm zone portal area. That's all I remember.

Question that will need to be answered in the future: Do Trainers = Tamers? Or are they two separate classes of pet battles NPCs?

For example a trainer simply teaches you the ability, while a tamer can be "dueled" and offer a possible reward/achievement? Or does interacting with either yield the same option of training pet battles and dueling the NPC?

There's also the question about the difference between a normal Trainer/Tamer and a "Master Trainer/Tamer".

I think most of the NPCs are still NYI, so we might have to wait a bit for more info.

master trainers and tamers are meant to be npcs will battle, i don't think pet battle trainers do anything but teach the abilities we use to battle/track pets.



^ those are all npc you need to defeat in pet battles for those achievements, so you can see there's one trainer which i believe is like an endboss for that zone and 3 tamers which will probably be easier to defeat.

It appears the other cities don't have one yet, might be because of the cata portals or mabye they are hiding.

It almost feels insulting that there isn't a trainer in Dalaran in with Breanni. I would've thought that would be the first place you would find one...

According to the Pet Journal, he also sells a Shore Crab pet (or will at some time in the future). To be more specific, he sells the aquatic Shore Crab (the other two are critters).

Wowhead has a quest listed for Julia Stevens which says she's just over the bridge in Westfall. I'll have to take a look the next time I'm on.

UPDATE: Yep, she's there. A little girl in a pink dress with two snakes. There are some phasing problems, but I eventually got her to stay where she was. She challenged me to a pet battle, but I got the "You must have the Pet Battler ability" error...

I double checked, visting trhe lass in westfall, but even if you have the pet battle ability, you just get "Failed to create pet battle" It seems they have disabled them entirly at the moment.

After the latest patch, battles are working again. So I managed to defeat her, although it was close, her snakes are fast...

Steven Lisbane walkes up and down the road in Northern Stranglethorn. He has 3 pets, a Jade Tiger, Bananas and Darkmoon Cub.

Has anyone beat Steven Lisbane? I've been trying for the week and no luck. Bananas does a stun that puts you out for two turns.
