Attacks missing during pet battles..

Every time an attack misses I just want to strangle a Murloc.. so freakin annoying.. #pokemonproblems #damnyounursejoy

The corollary to this is when you wonder how often the trainer pet's 25% chance to put my pet to sleep procs. Seems a lot more than 1 in 4.
It's like in the films, when 1 in a million odds work 9 times out of 10

But it sure is a great feeling when a loosing battle becomes a win when their pets fail haha

Nothing screams "DOH" more than missing on an attack that says it always hits if the aura you have up is up.
I.e. Nocturnal Strike on a non elemental during darkness

Darkmoon Eye's "Laser" ability "It will never miss" enemy pet /dodge... THAT'S THE SAME THING!!!
NEVER MISS = WILL ALWAYS HIT, not dodged, not missed, not evaded, nothing, IT-WILL-
ALWAYS-HIT.
Made a suggestion to blizzard through their GM thing to change the wording on the freaking skill

I know what you mean and it does seem daft, but apparently, there is a difference between missing and being dodged.
The "Always hits" just means that there is no roll for hitting, but the dodge chance is still there. Whether that's a bug or not, I don't know.

The updated 5.3 patch notes made my day.
-Hit Chance is now displayed for all abilities.
-Abilities no longer have a base chance to miss or be dodged by opposing pets of the same level.
-Reduced the chance to miss when fighting higher-level opponents from 5% per level to 2% per level.
This means when fighting lvl 25 vs lvl 25 there's no longer a base chance to miss with normal abilities. They will show the % chance to miss on skills like moth balls or moth dust (high chance to miss stated in tooltip), and on top of that lower level pets not longer miss a ton which will boost pet leveling a bit! Huzzah!
And the best part of it all came a bit lower down the lines:
-Ethereal Soul-Trader has been returned to his original, larger size.
