Battle Pet Daily Tamer is a handy addon to have. It shows the location of all Tamer dailies on your world map and marks off each one as you complete them.

Quick Jump For Tier 2 - Tier 12 Tamers:

• Eastern Kingdoms & Kalimdor Tamers

Quest Chain Breakdown:

• Tier 1 - The initial questline in EK and Kalimdor are faction specific.
  Tier 2 - Defeat 5 Tamers on EK and 5 Tamers on Kalimdor.
  Tier 3 - Defeat the Grand Master of EK and Kalimdor. (Unlocks dailies for the Tamers from the second tier.)
  Tier 4 - Defeat 4 Tamers in Outland.
  Tier 5 - Defeat the Outland Grand Master. (Unlocks dailies for the Outland Tamers.)
  Tier 6 - Defeat 4 Tamers in Northrend.
  Tier 7 - Defeat the Northrend Grand Master. (Unlocks dailies for the Northrend Tamers.)
  Tier 8 - Defeat 3 Tamers in Cataclysm zones.
  Tier 9 - Defeat the Cataclysm Grand Master. (Unlocks dailies for the Cataclysm zone Tamers.)
  Tier 10 - Defeat 6 Tamers in Pandaria.
  Tier 11 - Defeat the Zen Master Pet Tamer. (Unlocks dailies for the Pandaria Tamers.)
  Tier 12 - Defeat the 4 Pandaren Spirit Tamers. (Unlocks dailies for Spirit Tamers.)

Note: Only the Grand Master and Pandaria dailies will reward the Sack of Pet Supplies. Other Tamer dailies will only reward you with gold. All dailies still grant pet experience, though.

Eastern Kingdoms (Alliance) 1st-Tier Trainers

Upon leveling a pet up to level 3, you will be automatically given a quest to talk to Audrey Burnhep. This will allow you to start upon the questline. Defeating each trainer (and turning in their quest) rewards you with XP?, cash, and a Sack of Pet Supplies.

All of the following trainers have Rare quality pets. Defeating all 5 of them (and turning in the quest) will get you a reward of gold and a Sack of Pet Supplies. Each time you defeat one of them, you will get the Pet Recovery debuff, which will not allow you to battle any other Master Pet Tamers until the 5 min. (or you die) duration wears off. This does not appear to stop you from being able to battle a Grand Master.

I have a question about the tamer quests. Is there a limit on how far you can progress in leveling your pets until you beat them? In Pokemon they had a badge system where you had to earn the badges from the gym masters in order to control pets above a certain level. Do they have a similar system or would you be able to continue leveling your pets in the wild without doing the quests?

I think you can continue to level and use your pets even if you don't complete the quests.

You have to complete the first quest to unlock pet battles at all and get the Revive Pet ability.

After that, you don't have to defeat any trainers. I got mine in beta to 25 without it.

Also, the achievements are account-wide so you never have to complete the quests again after the first time (although they do have dailies with awards that can give you a pet from each Trainer).

My MoP box hasn't arrived by mail yet, so I thought I'd try some pet battles in the mean time. I found I could train the pet battle ability with the trainers, but I'm not getting any quests. I can still train, battle and capture pets in the wild. I'm guessing the pet related questlines are flagged as MoP only even though the pet battle system itself isn't.

I can confirm this. No quests sans Addon, the moment I activated it, I was able to pick up the quests!

MMO-champ lists this in the hotfixes section, so I assume you should be able to quest now.

"Battle pet quests are no longer flagged for Mists of Pandaria only, and can be accepted by players who have not yet upgraded."

I'm on horde, and i can't have the quests in elwynn forest and westfall.

Is there a way to complete this achievment without leveling an ally character ? ( I hate the allies )

I'm pretty sure you can't do the Eastern Kingdoms trainer on a Horde toon. I haven't tried it myself, but the wowhead comments suggest this.

I'm with you on this one: Alliance are stinky. However, you don't actually have to LEVEL an Alliance toon ... at least past 5 when you get the battle pet training. The only problem would be running to all the toons. Maybe rolling an ally DK on some other server would suffice?

Also, there's a comment on Wowhead that says:

A Tip for everyone who wants to do this, but wants the bag on an horde char.
You can accept the quest at an alliance char, then log onto your horde char and defeat the tamer.
You can turn in the quest and get the bag.
I tested this with Julia Stevens.
Accepted on gnome, logged onto horde pandaren, walked to Julia, defeated her and turned in the quest.
Sadly you can't accept the new quest on the horde char.

Again, I haven't tried it yet but this may be the way I go when I get around to it.

I've been able to fight the same trainer straight away - provided it is not the last in the chain. If you've still got on trainer left to defeat you can revisit any of them and repeat the fight as often and as fast as you want. The 5 min debuff does not seem to be active.

I found that I could 'solo' the feralas trainer with a level 18 Celestial Dragon - which then earned 720 xp each fight and I quickly got him to level 20. I could use a level 1 pet to start the fight, swap it out straight away - let the Celestial dragon 18+ do all the work and rapidly level up the other pet - two levels per fight to begin with.

You can do this with level 9 pets you've trapped to make leveling 15 pets to level 10 easy too.

I defeated all the trainers in kalimdor but I can only get the daily for the grandmaster in Moonglade,is this right or am I missing somthing?
All the other trainers in kalimdor have no daily at all.

If none of the Tamers have dailies after you've defeated the Grand Master, it's likely a bug. All Tamers should provide a daily, but only the Grand Master will reward the Sack of Pet Supplies while the others will reward gold. Pets still earn experiences from all dailies though.
